Rev 14:11 for ever and ever

I viewed a YouTube video, "Part 1 of 2; What does the Bible say about Hell?" thinking that it would be about Universal Reconciliation. It started out great, stating that Hell was a bad translation and that eternal punishment was of pagan origins. But then the narrator said that there are only two choices, either eternal life, or death! What??

Not quite what I was expecting. In reading the comments, someone, in defense of eternal punishment quoted Revelation 14:11
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

"Eternity" and "Ever and Ever"
King James:
Isa_57:15  For thus said the high and exalted One, Inhabiting eternity, and holy is His name: `In the high and holy place I dwell, And with the bruised and humble of spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of bruised ones,'

Psa 45:6  Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Joh 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Eternity looks like it is God's dwelling place, more-so than that, He is the dwelling place. We are somewhat like that as well, for our life dwells inside our body, so that may not be so difficult to comprehend.


Tying it together with Young's Literal Translation:

Heb 1:8  and unto the Son: `Thy throne, O God, is to the age of the age; a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy reign;

Rev 14:10  he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, that hath been mingled unmixed in the cup of His anger, and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy messengers, and before the Lamb,
Rev 14:11  and the smoke of their torment doth go up to ages of ages; and they have no rest day and night, who are bowing before the beast and his image, also if any doth receive the mark of his name.

So Revelations 14:11 could be understood as; "...and the smoke of their torment does go up to God's throne (or heaven)."

Revelation 14: 10; "...and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone". They are in torment/fear because of their unrighteousness before the angels and the lamb, for the fire is Gods Truth and Righteousness and the Brimstone (burning stone) are the commandments (ten commandments written by the fiery finger of God).

My appreciation for Gary and his website, TentMakers.org. I very much value the content and the ability to share God's word and his Truth.

Please let me know if I am missing the point here. This one was difficult to get through.
