What is the fire Jude is referring to in this verse?

I'm not sure.. but I've always read it as fires of judgment.. metaphor.. but also, at the same time, I think of it as earthly 'fiery' judgment.. Kind of like, without Jesus, we all crash and burn, as the saying goes. Individually, and I believe also collectively. Also in the verse is the sentiment to not let one's self be polluted by someone else's error. Don't be deceived and enticed, it will only end in one sort of crashing and burning or another.. gehenna fire, also eventually came to represent this too? Both as metaphor and, or earthly 'ruin'..

Clearly it's not what's it made out to be by most of Christianity, or they couldn't be snatched out of it, Amen? Blessings...
