Hebrews 10:29-Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

What is this harsher punishment the author is referring to?

toward yourchildrenwith watchfulcorrection/discipline.   Jesusletters tothe7churches...with correction..andconsequences..such

as removaloflamp..sickbed..etc.It happenshere..while inthe flesh..because sin in the flesh is being dealtwith in the believers.


many stripes/fewstripes..sorerpunishment/many stripesfor the servant that beat those being sanctified in Christ...beingbought with His

blood and sanctified through faith inHim....the servant appointed tofeed at the propertime...not beat...drunk on babylon's wine

and all the evilfruitsof the wicked one...what ye have done untothe  least one ofthese that believein me,ye have untome.

  losing positions of oversite/hypocrisy exposed etc...consider  tv evangelists publicly exposed in our day.....greedy..adulterous etc

shipwrecking those who believe..wolves in sheepsclothing..preyingonthose who believe.Despizing the grace of Godforsure,eh?

29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?  Using it perhaps to make money, and all the while living a dissolute or seducing lifestyle? Covetous and fraudulant?

30 For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The Lord will judge His people." 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings

Matthew 24 also, talks about being found of Him either "feeding His sheep" (basically, in Matthew 24 though says it as "as a good steward giving meats in season to the household while the master is away" or will one "be found of Him drinking with the drunken (with the senseless?) and beating up on other members of the household?" :faint: ...continuing, "shall be beaten with many stripes" like sister Sheila said..

"Fiery trials" - Paul wrote "don't be amazed at the fiery trial that (?) but consider yourself blessed to share in His sufferings" implying His sufferings were a "fiery trial"... Earthly events. Not neverending torment in a living state of death. :gsmile:  :thumbsup: ( :2c: )
