Does universalism give us reason to sin?

No!
Universalism recognises all will be saved.
Religions give their extra baggage.
Religion promotes personal effort and detracts from the work of Christ.
In church I was in slavery to the system.
Church states that Christ saved us, but then has added works are necessary and we need to agree with their beliefs.
IMO knowing all are saved, but each in their own, inspires the total character changes which lead to better behaviour along with love for all people: all are going to learn the truth which will cleanse them just like we have been cleansed.

Whilst religions are not aware of their beliefs actually being incorrect,  this is part of the learning process which we go through so that when the truth is pointed out to us by Christ we have a deeper understanding of what we experienced being necessary to teach us what to truly value.
True equality only comes from Christ.
True love is indescribable.
His love never fails.
True love inspires behavioural change.

If people who call Jesus: 'Lord Lord' and don't do what He says really understood what: 'second death' means - they would be deterred from sin. - They will undergo 'fire' as long as their purification takes and they bring judgement upon themselves.

If someone understands they are a co-creator with the Creator (actively creating creation) and that sin is what holds them back, makes them sick, keeps them miserable (etc) -  (if they have wisdom); they will think reconsider/repent.

A moron will make any excuse to destroy themself though and listen to other morons before the wisest One - not 'just' 'universalism'.
