Hey all my UR friends,

Did Jesus ever say in those very words that "God will save all men?" Find one verse in the gospels where Jesus says literally (without parable) WORD FOR WORD, "God will save all men." The closest verses that one can construe to signify the salvation of all men follow. However if one looks at them closely (word for word, phrase by phrase, verbatim), one does not find that Jesus ever states that "all men will be saved". Could it not have been very easy for Jesus to say once and for all that "God will save all men?" That would have ended all arguments on this point. WHY DIDN'T JESUS END THIS ARGUMENT FOR ALL TIME WITH A SIMPLE STATEMENT?

The verse most often used to denote Jesus' universalist claim is John 12:32:

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

Drawing all men to himself says nothing about all men being saved. Look at the words literally without interpretation. Nothing is being said here about salvation per se. You can "draw" another person to yourself but the other person may not embrace you. Jesus attempted to draw a rich, young man to himself but what happened in that case? Did that rich, young ruler embrace and follow Jesus? If Jesus is the same today as he was yesterday (another favorite universalist line), will he be as successful today or tomorrow as he was yesterday with the rich, young man? Drawing somebody to yourself does not mean you will be embraced by that person. Otherwise every love beckoning would be successful:

Luke 13:34, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem...how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!"

The second verse used to buttress any universalist claim in Jesus' words is John 3:17:

"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

The phrase in the KJV is "might be saved." Not "will be saved."

The universalist says, "But look at that verse - God did not send Jesus to condemn the world." That is not the same as saying that Jesus "saved the whole world." The negative "not to condemn" does not automatically imply a positive "all being saved." Saying that I do not have a lot of money in the bank (a negative) does not say in fact how much money I do have (a positive). One does not imply the other. "Not condemning" does not imply "saving."

If Jesus does not condemn the world, does it stand to reason that the world is not condemned by any other means? No, because Jesus says in Matthew 12:37 that condemnation in fact exists (whether he personally condemns or not):

"For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

How come the universalist never quotes this verse from Jesus' own mouth? Whether this condemnation is by hell-fire or some other method is not the issue. Condemnation exists period.
So I come back to the question: where in any gospel, does Jesus actually utter directly the words that "all men will be saved?" Nowhere it appears. And if Jesus himself never said those words, how can you (if he is your teacher)?

More Fallacies,  Jesus did not have to say something for it to be biblically true concerning what God will do.

You know there is a verse in the bible that specifically says that God will save all men, now you try to say it isn't true because Jesus didn't say it.

1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Like I have said,  people have to contradict and add and subtract from scripture to make this verse say anything other than what it says.

lee100,
Did the RISEN Jesus tell the apostle Paul that God is going to save all mankind (Romans 5:18,19; 1 Tim.2:4-6; 4:10,11; Col.1:20; Phil.2:8-11; Eph.1:9)?

Come clean lee.
Just because God says He will save all mankind
does not necessarily mean He won't.

tony,

Why didn't Jesus tell both thieves on the cross that they both would be in paradise with Him that day? This would of been the opportunity for Jesus  if all would be saved, right? The fact of the matter is that only one thief asknowledged Jesus and believed in Him and the other blasphemed Him. One went to paradise  the other to hell.

Your conclusion is not written so you again procede to prove your fallacy and contradict.

Show the chapter and verse that says the thief is in hell for all eternity.

Perfect, BelServ.

And why isn't leecog answering anyones questions? Hmmmmmmmmmm. I'm surprised.

Tony responded to lees with Scripture and all and then asked a question and was totally ignored. I guess we are her to serve lee and not be served.
Tony's question...

People, This is only My thinking.
New Haven and New Earth. i.e. All things, earth/all things made from atoms of God's making, man, plant, rock, air, space, and all other things you can list.

First thing is not to think of Revelation as the last book in the bible, because Cor, goes much further into the future than any book of Revelation.

If you want a comprehensive study in that book, look up J.P. Eby at Sigler Ministries.
Now as to the here and now/ after life.
The promise was that The Anointing would DO certain things, and He Has Done Those Things...

2009 years ago the father raised His Son out of death, and Finished all Death, since then all things have been in life, all made alive in Christ. There is no more sin, the only sin is the sin that you make of your own Law Making and the following of those Laws and the braking of those self-made laws. We are LIVING IN CHRIST'S THOUSAND YEAR REIGNS NOW. It started when death was destroyed 2009 years ago.

Revelation of God ( Matt. 16:18 "upon") is the New System of things, When all things come to an understanding that a higher power controls things, "They" start there own quest to understand.

God is like this to me in the physical things,  in all things there are atoms, in all things there are 2 things, sold and space, but there is an unseen third thing, energy. This energy is in everything. In every corner of the known universe and beyond. This energy is connected like a thought process in a brain. His Brain.

There is a process going on that will bring a close to the reign of Jesus "His" Christ, When all will be IN all. When all things are dragged to the understanding that God IS and God IS Love. Then We will be Home in Him and what goes on after All is, together again is HIS concern. After life? there can never be an afterlife because the use of the word says that life has to end, and life IN God never ends. What God does with His life/us, is His design.

Summery, All sin is ended at the cross, only self-reinforced-delusions i.e.  Law/sin/death.
Everyone will come to love God somehow-somewhere in "time", When time ends, there will only be God/us.

The new heavens and earth is NOW. Since life was given to all things when His Son Did It For Us whether or not we want to except that death was destroyed so long ago.
