:cloud9: Same way they were when He descended.......He descends........and the greater works we're going to do, is to bring the soul into union with the Spirit, once OURS is. This should not be startling to anyone, as He has ascended and descended all thru time as we know it, if you think about it. He was always appearing; they call it "Christophanies"......My  :2c:
So the soul continues to live after death in a state of death, and then after some time gets sick of sin and asks Jesus to forgive them and then enters heaven at the resurection :dontknow:

:cloud9: @ TT and Molly......He IS the resurrection, which is the restoration of the soul back into Him in union. He gives His angels charge over us, an angel being message or messenger.

The Spirit is the Word/letter made flesh or creation, just as Jesus was the Word made flesh. Because we are part of that creation (including our souls), and our spirits came from Him (which is why they RETURN to Him), we too are of the Word (that was Spirit) made flesh. That's literally what the creation is, is the Word (that was Spirit) made flesh, or "lower than", Spirit.

This is why the creation, every single aspect of it, in some way, tells us a message that reveals some part of His glory/nature. He spoke to me concerning this principle, "How can I be (in the creation) any less (in personal attributes/glory nature) than what I am?"

This is why "they" shall be without excuse, because all the heavens (1st heaven is where you're walking) declare (means to shew openly) His glory. The creation is the "lesser glory", just as the soul which is a part of it, is the lesser glory to the Spirit, just as the wife is the lesser glory to her husband.

My favorite example of how the natural creation declares His glory, is a kid's science experiment. If you take oil, water, and earth and put all 3 in a jar with a lid and shake it up, in time you'll find the earth went to the bottom, the water in the middle, and the oil on top.

So if you realize these things, then the scripture, "The Word cannot return void (or devoid of the Spirit)", makes even more sense. It means the soul cannot return without the spirit, in union, IN HIM.

"A divided house cannot stand", takes on even more meaning too, then, because: 1) we are divided, and 2), if we can't stand, it's because we have only one leg. The soul is the left side, the spirit the right (corresponds to the left and right "hands" of God), and how can TWO walk TOGETHER, except they be agreed (or in agreement/covenant)?

The good news is, at some point, the "trees" of the field WILL clap their "hands", and heal/make whole the breach = greater works. My  :2c: Blessings....

Thanks for the effort cardinal. I think my faith is in that during the 1000 millenium peace that is when Jesus and the saints will raise the lost from the dead and give them a chance to repent, I don't have much proof of this raising from the dead though and just put my faith in him that he will do it and give them another chance.

:cloud9: Since a 1000 years is as a day, and the Lord Himself said, I AM the resurrection and the life, which means no part darkness/death like the 7th day in Genesis, and He IS our rest/Sabbath, how is it that religion has had us waiting for ANOTHER DAY?  :dontknow:

A lot of people are hostile towards the 1000 millenium peace idea I have no idea why. Why is it a bad thing that Jesus comes back to rule on this kingdom, fear that sin is taken away perhaps  :dontknow:

It could be more than a 1000 years, there are no strict rules, but the scriptures do say 1000 years twice and also 7th day sabbath is based around this 1000 millenium peace or vise versa.

Ony a few countries in the world can be described as living a millenium peace, the rest live in darkness, I don't see this age qualifiying as Christ kingdom. Even the peacefull nations have major troubles.

Can you explain that greater works thing some more, Cardinal?

I have come to a place where Cardinal (and her interpretations of the Word of God) are not the last word in how I, for one, will reason and understand, what the Word of God reads. I accept and respect a moderaters opinon and thought, but for me, it "seems" that Cardinal has a understanding of what the Word says, and that I, me, myself must comply, and I cannot or will not.
I do not accept the premis that the soul is the woman, womb. Yet each time when that subject or any thing close to that way of thought comes forth, Cardinal says....thus. There is no evidence outside of what someone else may teach that the soul is the woman or that the woman is the soul. It is a doctrine that has no biblical foundation outside of that school of thought.
I have found much of what Cardinal says is very worthy of consideration, I hope she will feel the same for me, but I can no longer hold to an old school of thought, should and if the Lord has moved on.

:cloud9: I'm not "hostile" towards it.......but why can't it be BOTH? Is the Word not personal FIRST, and then to "out there"?  :dontknow: It is to me......

:cloud9: Micah, I share what has been made life in me by the Spirit of the Lord, as one member of His body, not as a moderator. And you are under no obligation to "comply" with anything, save the rules of the forum. Blessings....

Beloved Servant

For the word of God is living and operative, and keen above any two-edged sword, and penetrating up to the parting of soul and spirit, both of the articulations and marrow, and is a judge of the sentiments and thoughts of the heart.

Yes and your point? You believe that soul and spirit bear the same attributes, so I must wonder what exactly is  penetrating and parting.

Beloved Servant

Don't be rude, Micah.
It even comes out in your posts.

After awhile when presented with the human thinking for understanding and interpetion,a boarder must be made. It is not my intent to be rude, but I find it very difficult to not respond with a bit of harshness when pummeled with unfounded words.

No one is forcing you to stay.
If you find harshness the fruit of your time here perhaps it has become your prison.

Perhaps your right Beloved Servant. The only reason I dont is the smug conciet that I feel from your comments. Maybe its your prison.

Smug???

I am trying to be helpful!

Sometimes, some people take somethings for granted when they become too familiar.

I do not remember when I or we became too familar. Yes, there is a smugness, and I am feeling bad about that, in all honesty.
It seems that my responses are out of the ciriculum of some thinking on this site and my input is somewhat unthinkable an out right wrong. That is how I have felt, perhaps it is just my ego, self being tampered with. Yes Im sure thats what it is.

Your perception is wrong — so, there is nothing to feel bad about.

It's quite apparent.
