Been thinking about that "word" CONFIRM again!

CONFIRMATION!

And here it is again!!!

How "men" verily swear by the "greater" and an "oath" for CONFIRMATION puts an END

to "all strife!"

Well, that makes me wanna SHOUT!!!

God could not swear by any greater than by HIMSELF, and He did so to Abraham!!! And "we"
are Abraham's SEED and "HEIRS" to the promise!

Watch this Bible just absolutely fit the pieces together!  Now I am in Heb 6 and it reads

"heirs of promise" same as what I was quoting in Galatians "heirs of promise."

God "confirmed" it by an OATH!

Strong consolation!

And what was it that God "swear" about? He says to Abraham, "Surely, in blessing, I

will bless you!! and here comes that REPRODUCTION: ha.........."multiply" you!!!

And so, after he had patiently endured, he "obtained" ................

Those that heard Abraham were still in the loins of their father Abraham!  You and I were.

We are hearing him NOW!  We are becoming a part of his "confirmation" that Abraham

had the REAL thing.  It lives on!  It passes on!  It comes down from one generation to

another for it is of the LORD!!! Father Abraham, had many Sons, and many Sons had

Father Abraham, and I am one of them, and .....can't remember all that song, but my

heart is leaping!  Tis not a song of priests who die, but a song of our Spirit, that lives

on and on and on, the unchangeable one...........the one who said "I AM" before Abraham

......for He was, He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  And He makes us to

hear HIM!  He is HOLY, He is Harmless, He is undefiled, and seperate from sinners!

He is a Heavenly Priest and there is but ONE!  His Name is Jesus! He offered Himself up

ONE time, and now is set on the right hand of the Majesty of the Heavens!  Oh, He

from there offers to us HIMSELF.  Because He has "obtained" a more excellent Ministry.

He found "fault" with us under the first covenant, but praise God, He sought another!

Every family of the earth being thoroughly blessed is the unchangeableness of His counsel.  ET says that His promises expire at death for those unrepentant prior to death.  That's not what Hebrews says when it says that when Christ died, He set free all of those who all of their life times were held subject to bondage to sin.  If they were held subject to bondage all of their life times, as it says in Hebrews chapter 2, then these folks had already died.  And He emptied Sheol.  Not just some righteous compartment.  At His crucifixion, the generations of Sodom and Gomorrah stood up and condemned the first century generation of Jews like Jesus said that they would in the judgment.  Ninevah rose up and condemned that generation of Jacob as well, because at the preaching of Jonah, Nineveh repented.

But the unchangeableness of His counsel, and the fact that Abraham obtained the promise that he had been given that he was heir of the world means that if a single person were lost, God would have a whole lotta splaining to do to Abraham.  He'd obtained the promise.  Not just the immediate promise of having a kid.  For years, I used to trip out at Ishmael having had to have been circumcised at 13 years old and the kind of bitterness that that could produce in a child.  But here's a man close to 100 years old having to grab the knife, raise up his garment or totally take it off, all the while Sarah had to believe that this old man hadn't just gone crazy on her in his old age when he was cutting his uh....

They say that men these days don't have nerve enough to have a baby.  Heck, if it were between Hell and self-circumcision, most modern men would run into the flames rather than to try to get that cut just right.  Imagine the denominations that that could get started these days!  To use a jagged edge or not, that's the question!!

Abraham won the fight without the new birth, without the baptism with the Holy Spirit, etc.  That had to bruise the head of the serpent as much as Jesus did, though some may gasp at my having said that since this board's open to the general public to view with/without an account, though they can't reply without one.

The unchangeableness of His counsel.  Oh, that gets to me!  His seed is as the sand which is by the seashore, which accounts for every single individual on the earth.  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (which is the language of Matthew's Gospel in it's closing verses) not only went through a lot for the recovery of all, but so did Abraham.  He didn't lie to Adam, and He didn't lie to Abraham.  His counsel is unchangeable.  If His Word stands in heaven, then it knows no boundaries with regards to the grave.  What is His counsel that's unchangeable?  Jesus is the unchangeable corresponding ransom for all.  He's the propitiation for not only our sins, but also for those of the world.

I tend to literalize Adam and Eve, even if some would believe that they weren't the only humans upon the earth at the time, though perhaps the very first Kings of Camelot (i.e. Eden), and perhaps they lost as much of an earthly Kingdom as a metaphysical, spiritual, psychic, and future one.  I tend to literalize them, because without a literal Adam, then Romans 5 and 1Corinthians 15 become absolutely meaningless, since Jesus is the undoing of all that came into the earth through Adam, as well as the introduction of more than was ever promised to Adam prior to sin.  Too much of the New Testament is just gibberish without an actual first man, Adam.  Jesus Christ made a comment about a literal Adam when defending marriage.

His counsel is unchangeable, therefore a prodigal son will always have a prodigal Father in heaven to return to.  [The word "prodigal" just means extravagent]

Why would you say that Abraham didn't have the Holy Spirit?  Where else would he get his faith?  Where would he get his righteousness?  Or, would it be more accurate to say he had the seed of Christ?  When God says, 'your seed,' to Abraham, he is referring to Christ.

It doesn't start with Abraham, it starts with Adam.  But with Abraham, as carrier of the seed of Christ, is made the everlasting covenant.

Yup!  Abraham was a prophet and was more accustomed to seeing Angels.  It says in the Gospel of John that the Holy Spirit wasn't yet given because Jesus wasn't yet glorified.  Jesus is the baptizer with the Holy Spirit.  When it says in Peter's writing in talking about the Old Testament prophets that they learned from the Holy Spirit within them that the things that they were writing weren't for their generation, it's more that they had the seed of the Anointed One and His Anointing that they were dealing with as you've said.  Some choose to refer to it as having the Spirit of the suffering Messiah to contrast with the Spirit of the victorious Messiah that we have, but there's nothing in the whole Bible that allows anyone to take things that far.  Righteousness, according to the New Testament, seems more a product of the faith of Jesus than the Presence of the Holy Spirit.  And St. Paul does say in Romans 4 that righteousness was accounted to Abraham.  We have righteousness accounted to us for having the same faith, and the New Covenant takes things a step further by saying in 2Corinthians 5:17-21 that we're made new creatures in Christ Jesus that are the righteousness of God in Him.  We're as right with God as God is with God, according to 2Corinthians 5:21.  Again, that's the unchangeableness of His counsel :icon_king:

Just off the top of my thoughts, I remember Jesus saying "Abraham
saw MY DAY and rejoiced!!~"  HOLY HOLY HOLY is His Day!

We have seen a lot of the glory of Moses, which truly has a glory,
according to what is written in Corinthians, but is NO glory when
compared to the "GLORY" of the ministration of the Spirit for
the Spirit gives "L I F E!!" And

Abraham

saw HIS day!~

His LIFE giving Day!

Oh Molly I know you are shouting. ha
