If it is so widely accepted that Jesus fulfilled the Hebrew Spring Holy Days by His death (Passover) burial (Unleavened Bread) and resurrection (Firstfruits/Single Wheat Sheaf waved) - all which is commonly known as His First Advent, then why can they not connect the dots concerning the Hebrew Autumn Holy Days as prophecy, pertaining to His long Second Advent? ...the Fall Holy Days beginning with "Trumpets" [fulfilled by the Revelation trumps 1-7 & Mt 24, verses 48 through 51 - "immediately after the tribulation of those days.. He will send out His angels with the mighty sound of a trumpet.."] and ending with the Feast of "Tabernacles [fulfilled by
Revelation 21,verses 1 through 3 - "..a new heavens and new earth.. and new Jerusalem come down to earth.. the Tabernacle of God is with man and He will dwell with them.." (i.e., God the Father, Himself, will live with man upon perfect earth and in perfect universe)].
- Why can they not plainly see the Holy Day in the middle of these two "Day of Atonement"???
And I'm wondering how many of UR have seen it.. What peak of Jesus' Second Advent might "Day of Atonement" correlate to? And how does it relate to Universal Reconciliation?
- And for anyone who loves a quiz, how might Rev 20:15 (in context, 11-15) fit in? (More precisely, where, might it fit in)? And what exactly is verse 15th's requirement?

Hey, I'd like to hear more on this. I've been trying to lay out the feasts being fulfilled in Christ for a long time and have been missing something. Please email me and let's talk about this. Gary at tentmaker dot org

Day of atonement [at-one-ment]:

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.  Heb 9:28

Romans 3:25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--

1 Corinthians 1:7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.

Titus 2:13-14 while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works

Very exciting stuff!

It is exciting! :) I believe the (Autumn) Feasts of God, fulfilled in Jesus, prove Universal Reconciliation (and as mentioned above, at-one-ment) for all..

Ever since I saw the connection when studying eschatology, I felt that Jesus would return on what the jews call "the last great day" This happens usually the last week of September. I'm not saying Jesus is coming back this year or fifty years but that when He does, it will be on this day of atonement  the last great day.
Since earth has different time zones and it's even a different day in parts of the world, it will all be dependent on where you are so "no man can know the hour or the day"

..the idea i've been thinking on for quite a while goes like this, if the Spring Feasts, Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits, were fulfilled by Jesus at His first advent ("...that ye may be unleavened.. for Christ our Passover has been sacrificed" 1 Cor 5:7, and "Christ the Firstfruits" 1 Cor 15:23) then surely the Autumn Feasts prophecy and will be fulfilled by the second advent; a sort of outline?
Leviticus 23 lists the Feasts of God beginning with Israel's weekly Sabbath. Hebrews 4:3 and 9 says "...enter that rest ..a rest for the people of God" which of course is Jesus and His finished work (Hebrews 3:18-4:10).

With the Fall Festivals being of the month (tishri / sept-oct) -
..Day 1 - "Trumpets"; Day 10 - the "Day of Atonement"; and Day 15 - the Feast of "Tabernacles", I'm thinking the peaks of what is prophesied as the second advent of Jesus, surely, correlate, in the same manner as the Spring Feasts do with the first advent.. Going something like this:
..Year 1 - Christ's return and the first resurrection ..."immediately after the tribulation of those days... with a great sound of a trumpet... will gather His elect from the four winds under heaven.."
..Year 1000 - occurs the second resurrection and the "Day of Judgment"
(because of the numbers, 1st, 10th & 15th, and because we know the millennium rule of Christ is prophesied to last 1000 years, I'm thinking the numbers have meaning and correlate, the days become years and to the #'s 10 and 15, are added two 0's, making day 1, year 1; day 10,year 1000; and day 15,year 1500; making Judgment Day to last 500 years. Tho not a perfect vision or understanding of this, it's gotten lodged in my head this way:)
The Day of 'Judgment' ends with, or is followed by the notorious words "those not written in the book of life" (those not believing) "will go to the" (cleansing ageduring) "lake of fire".
..But! after having experienced [1] being resurrected from the sleep of death (1 thes 4) and [2] witnessing and living through an 'age' of the review and examining of all things (all human history, etc), who's not going to "believe"? I'd figure not too many! There's really only one verse I know of which could possibly be used to suggest one must believe before their death, which is when Jesus told the pharisees unless they repented they would "die in their sins" but I think all this means is the first resurrection where immortality "is put on" far surpasses the second (for a time!)
This, to my way of seeing it, turns Day of Judgment to a GreaT Day of Atonement, at-one-ment / ,Reconciliation for all, but also being a day of repentance and weeping as became practiced by Israel.
..Year 1500 - a new heaven and a new earth.. the new Jerusalem comes down.. "behold the Tabernacle of God is among men and He will dwell among them". God the Father will "Tabernacle' with man upon perfect earth in a perfect universe... an un-breakable perfection and paradise because knowing good from evil (life from death) will be deeply engraved upon every heart and mind.

What do you think? Do the dates of the Fall Holy Days 1st? 10 days later, Holy Day; then 5 days later, 3rd Fall Holy Day, correspond to the three main peaks of the long 2nd advent? As His return (Trumpets), 1000 years later, Judgment/great Atonement Day, and 500 years later, Tabernacles?

George H. Warnock (1917-2007) of Calgary, and Cranbrook, in Canada developed the idea the Jewish feasts were symbolic of the church's experience; he said that the first three feast days were fulfilled in the first century, and the last four are yet to be fulfilled. He believed that the Feast of Tabernacles would be fulfilled by an outpouring of the Spirit upon the church, called the 'latter rain.'

"Tabernacles" - has anyone seen a line of connection between:

   [ #1 ]  Revelation 21:3

Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

3 "and I heard a great voice out of the heaven, saying, `Lo, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will tabernacle with them, and they shall be His peoples, and God Himself shall be with them"

and  [ #2 ] the "Tabernacles" which is one of the three fall holy days?

If the spring holy days prophesied, and were fulfilled by Jesus' first advent, perhaps the fall holy days, prophecy, and will be fulfilled by the 2nd advent..
If so, the first fall holy day of "Trumpets" seems to me to have similarity to Mt 24:29-31 (His return) "with the sound of a great trumpet.." to say nothing of the 7 trumps which effectively announce Him even as there was announcement (Jn the baptist) at his 1st advent..
Then, if Tabernacles, the third holy day, coincides with the Great and wonderful fulfillment of the ages, of God Tabernacling (living with, tenting) with man upon Earth, that would make the "Day of Atonement" in between the two (10 days after Trumpets) to coincide with "Judgment Day" and the 2nd resurrection 1000 years (or so) after His return..
It seems interesting to me that His 2nd Advent has three main (largest) peaks and there are three fall holy days, this concerning, how, these might be fulfilled by the 2nd advent, as the 1st advent did the spring ones..
