The nature of His seals upon us?

I've been reading one and two Peter, which was funny as I had been thinking about the apostle Peter - but you know how the Lord is.. how he teaches. I had been thinking how Jesus said to Peter, a short while before his ascension, "Do you love me? ....Feed my sheep."

Care for his sheep.. "blessed is the servant found distributing to the household its meat in due season".. (being faithful in the managing of the household, not beating fellow servants or being dissolute.. or hoarding the resources). "Feed my sheep."

When Jesus saw Peter, how the Lord said "Your name is Peter" (rock, petra). It's hard to imagine how many streams of thought ran through Jesus' mind at every given moment. And all the streams of thoughts around him and activity.. "Upon this rock" (such as this?) "shall I build my church.."

Some think calling the apostle (servant) Petra, means Peter was the founder and highest of the church, etc., but Peter wrote how Jesus was "the Stone the builders neglect.." The chief corner/foundation stone. (Nothing can be built without Him!) And how believers/followers are stones being built up into a temple for the Living God.

"You have returned to the Shepherd and Bishop of your soul," he also wrote. (We have returned - epi-strepho, to,upon-turn(ed) to the overseer of our soul, breath, life, being.)

And like Paul, Peter wrote the Lord had let him know he would soon be leaving the world.. And how false teachers like ravening wolves would lead flocks astray.

This morning on a good morning bible app, verse of the day, the verse was Deuteronomy 31:6 - "Be strong and of a good courage," Joshua "for it is the LORD God who goes with you." Moses said this because he knew he was soon leaving the world (verses 1 and 2).

Then he instructs how "at every seventh Day Of Tabernacles, in the year of release/Jubilee, the law is to be read as long as you live.."

I had been thinking about the "sealing(s)" of God, of the believer's heart, and of his/her mind.

The seal (of love) upon the heart which cries abba, Father! And loves their fellow person - "God is love."

And the lesser known, acknowledged, seal upon or of, the mind of the believer. Yes, I believe all receive this seal, the 144,000 of Israel, and a "great crowd too-large-to-number from every tribe, tongue and nation" - all spiritually before the throne of God - Fully sealed, praising Him. (Chapter 7 of Rev.)

Sealed from outside (aka, wrong) influences? 'Virgins'? I've for a long time wondered if the sealing upon the forehead equates to clarity? Complete clarity.. truth and nothing but truth?

Any who want to be a good servant (shepherd, overseer) it's so very important to be very submitted to Him! Submit, submit, submit? It once seemed like He showed me when we think we've gotten down to submission at the very floor of our being, is when to start pulling up floorboards! (And one of the best times to consciously and sincerely submit to His Spirit is during times of trial/trouble/stress?)

Because when we leave this world - should we before His return, we want to leave behind us as many fully sealed (safely and solidly away from error) as we possibly can..? Not that we need to stress or worry about such which would be works.. but :Pray: :thumbsup:

How awesome it is to understand that ultimately ALL in heaven and on earth (and all those under the earth) will be fully sealed up unto Him! :cloud9:

might post this (too long of thoughts, lol) on my blog, inner monastery, waay too neglectful of my blogs for a very long time now) ordered a tablet (chrome not windows!) going to try to get my act together! Just lately hubby's retiring and has been monopolizing my chrimebook! :laughing7:

All in heaven and on earth- true indeed especially since every family on earth or in the heavens are named and known by Him!

                     He may grant YOU to be strengthened with power through His Spirit In YOUR inner being."

Eph 1;13 " You also are in Him, having heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation;
                 in Him also, when you believed, you were marked WITH THE SEAL of the promised holy spirit."

That, my  friend, is one awesome seal upon US now.
