Why do you need to make peace with Jesus Christ

Why do you need to make peace with Jesus? Because no matter where you have grown up – in a Christian or non-christian culture – you have been given a false image of Jesus  and Jesus's mission. And the real problem is that this has also caused you to accept a false image of yourself, an image that limits your life experience and that will prevent you from following Jesus's example. Thus, you can benefit greatly from overcoming that false image and getting some sense of who Jesus is and what What Jesus truly teaches. Not only will this enrich the rest of your journey on this planet, it will also greatly assist you in what happens after you leave this planet.

If you consider yourself a Christian, you will want to know that mainstream Christianity presents a false image of Jesus that simply cannot take you to salvation. You will not make it to heaven by following the blind leaders of the Christian churches, regardless of the fact that they claim to be Jesus's representatives. You will make it only by knowing His true teachings, as vessels present them in places shunned by orthodoxy.
If you consider yourself a spiritual seeker, you will want to know that although you do not have to become a Christian in order to grow and make your ascension, you still have to make peace with Jesus by overcoming all false images of Him. His true teachings and His example provided an archetypal pattern of the process that all people have to go through in order to graduate from Earth's Schoolroom. Today, Jesus holds a spiritual office that all people must pass through in order to ascend from earth. Thus, unless you have made peace with Jesus, how can you possibly even approach him and move through His office to your permanent ascension in the light?
If you consider yourself a non-Christian, and perhaps look upon Christianity with suspicion or hostility, you can benefit from knowing that Christ's true teachings are universal and are aimed at helping all people escape the death consciousness. And as explained above, no matter what is your outer religious affiliation or non-affiliation, you still have to pass through Jesus's spiritual office in order to become permanently free from what might be called the treadmill of the death consciousness.

How sweet to have a whole life to unfold the God within. What a blessing to meet Christ now, a million unseen, unthought-of blessings even now, to be revealed by the Great Preserver so very soon when the spirit's plans have been completed.

My understanding is that time should not be wasted, God is now known, yet not to play into the hands of the foe who would say no need to try. I would say double and redouble efforts, that is my opinion. Each second, each moment, in these fleshly tabernacles, is a precious gift that shall not come again, and there is forever in the Spirit to yet live - and I believe it is a friend who says this.

The Spirit of God in Christ who dwells within has the consciousness of good alone, while the fallen man or woman chooses to inhabit a split consciousness of both good and evil. What a blessing to come to the knowledge of God in Christ, what a joy, what a treasure!

Yet, I understand this not to be the end, it is, however, the right place to be now, to desire perfection in Christ. This blessing is neither far nor distant, for to think of Christ as outside of oneself is to separate the consciousness again into good and evil – whereas Christ has saved already, all needs are met in Christ, the Bread of Life who provides succour to the soul and the body – that Bread may be found within. He is within and He says to come to Him and to follow Him.

"Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, It is not Moses that has given you the bread out of heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven.
For the bread of God is he who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.
They said therefore to him, Lord, ever give to us this bread.
And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger, and he that believes on me shall never thirst at any time."

Instead of looking outward and feeling the chills and pangs of hunger, I believe that looking inward to God provides warmth and food, every requirement can be supplied from within, and humankind will one day know this. I understand more of God's children have expressed themselves in the sweet suffering Christ and seek to manifest more of the Divinity within, in order that there be less sorrow and needless suffering without.

"And the ransomed of the Supreme God shall return, and come to Zion with singing; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."

It seems certain to me that God cannot fail, so always being of sound heart is the only true course to take. In times past thoughts were for this world, but now the true life within is known, is felt, is being understood, and thoughts of the spiritual wealth within can now be expressed without. I think it is is so easy to understand how blessed is the one who sees the God in Christ sitting on His throne within the spiritual heart, for that one receives riches beyond imagination.

"The Supreme Being will open to thee his good treasure, the heavens, to give rain unto thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow."

Thanks be to the Giver of all good things.

"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,  20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. (Colossians 1:19-20)

He has made peace already, and illuminates this peace to us each in his order.  :dsunny:

Much to contemplate in these 8 verses about a large portion of God's design;

Romans 3:23  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

John 14:6 - Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4:12 - Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 6 - This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:8-9  For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

...my greatest comfort and joy is in knowing "His kingdom will never end" - Luke 1:33 and in contrast to man's world of aggression and one upmanship, Colossians 1:18 - "He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." And I like how the Good News bible says that verse "...the source of the body's life.. He is the firstborn" (of creation) "and the first to rise from the dead, in order that He alone, might have the first place in all things". and..."in union with Him all things have their proper place" Colossians 1:17.

Dear Iamhe, I would not wish to cause confusion as I mentioned that thinking of Christ outside of oneself is to revert to a sinful state, I hope it is understood that this refers to banishing Christ from within - or rather to allow the enemies of Christ to veil the truth that He is there.

God is Spirit and Creation was wrought by God through Christ. Christ is in everything, each atom has Christ in it and therefore it possesses everything. All that lives has Christ in it, God the Creator is in everything through Christ His Agent.

I understand that in Christ, as Spirit, there is no such thing as earthly space, no such thing as earthly distance – and that these are perceptions of the limited sense world.

I believe that gaining a spiritual perspective as to the time and space of man and the Being-ness Present of God Alimighty, is a great asset in unravelling the spiritual aspect of what God, through Christ, has done for mankind.

The Spirit is beyond the time and space of this world, the laws of which were brought into being by the Almighty Being to accommodate the needs of fallen man whose disobedience to the laws of God were foreseen.

Hence, God knowing the Way for the reconciliation of His children, through His Agent the Firstborn, Christ became the living Sacrifice spiritually from the foundation of this earthly world – the Lamb was sacrificed spiritually...

"...the life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" Revelation 13:8

... I would say 'beforehand' except in pure Spirit there is no 'beforehand', only the Present Everlasting life.

Now what if the physical manifestation of that Sacrifice occurs in this world of space and time for the awareness of His fallen children? If He was slaughtered from the foundation of the world then He also arose from the dead from the foundation of the world – the first to arise from the dead, and this manifestation in earthly space and time also appears so that humanity might know its God and His wondrous Love shown through the willing shedding of His precious Blood.

"For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God." 1 Peter 1:20,21

In Christ, we are blessed beyond comparison, believers in God and faith and hope in Him through Christ, and His Love ensuring that even during this short time in tabernacles of flesh we are among good friends.*

*Personally, I find no difficulty in seeing that the spirits of those of old, even Moses and Elijah, were raised at physical death and were gathered unto their people whose spirits had also been raised, and whose influence is still much involved with the workings of God amongst the children of the earth.

"...we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses" Hebrews 12:1

One unselfish thought, one altruistic act, the drying of the tears of another, has something of the Christ in it, and therefore helps to lift humanity a little closer to the Godhead, in my opinion. It is all through Christ, without Christ none would have the power to even think.

Peace.

Last post, I am finding myself agreeing with much of what you say, if not all, you have such a way of saying it though,. When I post here, I plan not to respond because what I put here, may very well be what some people don't understand, or are blocked from it. Which is no fault of their own, I was very happy to see your post though, and since you took the time to put another, I will say very much Thanks for the time and effort you've spent on them. They are wonderful and i hope every one reads them, and understands them.
I hope I understood them the way you intended... or at least the way god did.

I love you as I love myself, Iamhe

All that flowery language may obscure plain speech. So i will just ask right out. Does Paul speak, or Peter, out of this ascended eternal state beyond the veil? Do the spirits of these departed saints and others prophesy through people today, Lastpost?

I have read some of your posts about the transfiguration and this thread, and I am wondering if that is what you are saying?

I don't particularly find that offensive or even necessarily heretical, as an interpretation of Hebrews 12 could go there, but I do not want to see this as sophistry either, working around to these "special illuminations"- since the purpose of the site is to promote the teaching of the salvation of all and the restoration of all things. We have a narrow gate here.

As far as your representations about institutional Christianity and its misrepresentation of the tru teachings of Jesus, Iamhe, I agree, that can be a wide road that does lead to destruction....

But we are not here for anyone particular persons views of the "true teachings" of Jesus Christ. We are a simple little humble tent of meeting, purposed towards the explanation of the doctrinal truth of the salvation of all that is in Jesus Christ and through faith in Him and submission to His Lordship, which is the embodiment of the love of God.

Our intention is to spread that word to any and all, whether Catholic or Protestant or Eastern Orthodox or Fundamentalist or New Ager or Secular Humanist or Wiccan or Whatever-

But our fellowship is not held in any of those traditions particularly and our purpose is not to refute them or embrace them or allow any of them to promote themselves or their teachings here.

We are here to share the truth that God is reconciling all through Christ. Our standard of discourse is the scriptures of the canonical Bible, 66 books, properly translated.

So as beautiful as the language of life can be, and I am certainly one who appreciates the discerning use of language, I am also bound to a sort of functional simplicity and clarity that works toward our stated goal in this forum.... to promote the truth of the salvation of all- to all, as much as possible without unnecessary offense and as much as possible without the distraction of focusing to much on other issues.

I think we are pretty liberal in that pursuit. Someone else may not. It is a task that requires some focus, imo.

Dear EW, I do apologise if I have transgressed the boundaries here and thank you for pointing this out which I shall be careful to watch in future in this fascinating forum. My only poor excuse is of sometimes, in my weakness, being unable to restrain the desire to express the beauty that I feel He reveals.
