What actually is love

I'll get right to the point.  I think love is something more than just this ooey gooey sap emotion experienced by couples every February 14th, or that so called love from Barney(I see that as nothing but pure emotional manipulation on the poor children). 

However John states God is Love.  And love does not bring fear, but casts out fear.  And we know that the gospel of Love does not allow for any such autrocities as Eternal Damnation. 

Many people have been drawn to Gary because of his loving character.  In fact, he is one of the only Christians with a ministry that I actually trust.  However there is also another believer in the Victorious Gospel, Ray Smith.  Many people claim that he does not preach in a spirit of Love.  And I will admit that he can be a bit rough around the edges.  But I do sense that he does care, and thats why he is so hard on many of the Church systems. 

However many of those religious preachers I sense no love, but alot of anger and pride.

The greek has ,IIRC, 4 words for love.
There is friendly love, parental love, erotic love and divine love.
The one we want to know is divine love which is REALLY different then all other kind of love.
It is a love which transcends doctrines, disputes, acts, unrighteousness, circumstances, wounds, etc.
I had never knew this love before being revealed UR (after 28 years in church), now this love remains in me.

God is love and God is one big mutha.

God is a warrior, we in today's ponsy christian society forget the warrior aspect of Gods character and this is why he will bring judgment upon the wicked and smash them like potters vesel. We today do not think like those of the past, when such destruction upon the wicked would be something to celebrate and rejoice. I think the time will come when men and women will gird up their loins again and start rejoicing when the wicked are punished and destroyed, like they did in the days of Israel, the reason I think is because we have lived in an age of grace , but the time will come when a seperation will occur between the goats and the sheep, so that God can rain judgment upon the wicked, demonstrate his warrior power and destroy the wicked from the earth, showing off his chivarly, that nobody messes with God and his people.

Many people will say by preaching their "Gloom and Doom" Message, they are being more loving than those who preach the more positive message.  But honestly, I never felt any sense of Love amongst those preachers, who judge others.

However people attack the Westboro Baptist Chuch for being unloving, considering their anti-gay obsessions and picketing Funerals telling those people their love one is roasting in Hell, along with other strange apocalyptic beliefs.  However I dont understand how those people who stand on the street making those hateful messages are any different than the WBC.  (Sorry for getting off topic).  However the WBC along with these other "Gloom and Doom" judgmental preachers claim that they are doing all these horrible "ministries"  out of love, along with carrying many of the same exclusive views and unending torture to the rest.

They aren't different,  most of the street corner preachers haven't done something outlandish enough to get the attention of the emotions of the populace.   Picketing funerals did.

Each in their own time. Some will be as Saul and some will be as lots wife. Keep in mind that what God destroys he can resurect.

I think you are saying though, that action speaks louder than words, the man who dies for his wife is more loving than the cassanova who writes poems to err his victims  :grin:
