Christ is the power

We often are taught in a way that even though we hear the words Christ in us, we are still in a view point that keeps the significance of Christ in us from being seen.


Phl 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

Phl 1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

Phl 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
Phl 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Phl 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

The significance is that Christ defeats all false doctrines no matter how horrible they are and how falsely they depict Christ.   I see the above passage in my life.  The name of Christ was introduced to me from birth and the manner in which it was taught may have fit somewhere in the passage above I had plenty of afflictions placed on me through false doctrines.   But, Christ defeats the errors and brings truth.   

I am thankful Christ is being preached.
