Dear friends: I will be placing videos of a former priest to view at your leisure. Please welcome Brennan Manning to the Tent.

Are our broadest hopes broad enough? Shall there be a nook or abyss, in all the universe of God, finally unlightened by the Cross? Shall there be a sin, or sorrow, or pain unhealed? Is the very universe, is creation in all its extent, a field wide enough for the Son of God?

Thanks! Next 'sabbath' time I plan to watch them! I used to love watching Mother Angelica! And there used to be a priest on too in those days.. (I guess I'm assuming Brennan Manning is Catholic.. but to Easter Orthodox also have priests? Guess I should google that..) :gsmile:

THE SABBATH IS ALWAYS  IS NOT JESUS CHRIST  ALWAYS   ready willing and able to SAVE  !!

"How is Jesus our Sabbath Rest?"

Answer:

The key to understanding how Jesus is our Sabbath rest is the Hebrew word sabat, which means "to rest or stop or cease from work."

to me is working so hard  against Gods desire and His desire is that NONE SHOULD PERISH .but change your minds!!  just change  your hearts desires to HIM first  and let everything else  just fall into place  and rest in that kind of faith  ,easy to say and so hard to do . many are ready and willing and able to just go HOME   NOW ....

The origin of the Sabbath goes back to Creation. After creating the heavens and the earth in six days, God "rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made" (Genesis 2:2).

This doesn't mean that God was tired and needed a rest. We know that God is omnipotent, literally "all-powerful." He has all the power in the universe, He never tires, and His most arduous expenditure of energy does not diminish His power one bit.

So, what does it mean that God rested on the seventh day?

Simply that He stopped what He was doing. He ceased from His labors.

This is important in understanding the establishment of the Sabbath day and the role of Christ as our Sabbath rest.

The DAY of the Lord is the 7th day and Last Day    and than the darkness comes that many sleep in .
Matthew 11:27-30 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

27 All things have been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires] to reveal him.

28 "Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

29 Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

To me the struggle is being born opposing GOD   in the natural state , fending for yourselves and only need God when you are loosing ground ?
but   what good is it to fight against God your whole life ,only to gain what is in this world and all its pomp ?
it is called the pride of life  and it does not save but destroys lives .

1 john  2 Do Not Love the World
15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life— is not from the Father but from the world. 17The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God remains forever....

Our dear Rose: God our gracious Abba continues to draw to Himself vessels for Himself. The mighty draw reaches to  those He changes from the inside out. The line of children made saints, & saints who follow Him in the withersoever are very impressive. My desire is to please Him, and ultimately hear those wonderful words from His lips, "well done".

We go back a few seasons together now on our Tent, Rose. I treasure you & each one within whom the cry of Heaven is found!

Really amazing preaching work comes from Brennan Manning.

Except in this video where He calls Universalism a Heresy.

I felt totally betrayed that someone who seems to understand God's love so well, still thinks that God will favor ignorant choices (the so called free will) of limited people to damn their soul forever...

I am officially letting go of Brennan Manning and may God show him the truth as it truly is...

I was prepared to face most kinds of evils until i saw how sick and twisted it still gets!
Having a man so full of, in his words, "FURIOUS LOVE OF GOD", yet he relents to acknowledge what love is all about...

And in his own words from this video, "I'm not a universalist, Universalism is a HERESY, it bellitles the value of Christ..."

Brennan sir, you have proven to me that evil can be even darker than i thought, thank you and may Yahweh restore you soon!

My brother: I have never met an individual in my 62+ years of union with the Master that comes close to Brennan Manning in his grasp of our Abba. I suggest you watch the video again with less attention to " I am not a universalist."
