How do I share my faith?

Christians are told to convert people/to witness to others/to spread the Gospel. I was given the 'be saved or go to hell' message by a Christian when I was 16 years old.  Then I was told to give the same be saved or go to hell message to my 'unsaved' family and friends but I couldn't do it because:
1. I did not want to tell anyone that they would go to hell if they weren't saved.
2. I did not want to believe there is a hell.
3. I felt too shy/too embarrassed and I did not want to make a fool of myself by 'being a fool for trying to convert people to stop them going to hell'. I didn't want to be called a 'religious fanatic' or a 'member of the God squad' by someone who mocks Christians who preach hellfire.  I've never saved a single convert because l've never wanted to push religion down anyone's throat. So I never converted anybody and I've never 'saved' anyone.

How do I tell others about the love of God/the love of Jesus and say that he loves everyone and he saves everyone? How do I share my faith more positively?

I think sharing an accurate translation of scripture with folks about the full scope of the evangel, which means universal reconciliation, is the best way to share the evangel, which is not about being saved from "hell," but being saved from sin and death. Everybody's going to "hell" just like Jesus did, but "hell" ain't what you hear about in church. It's simply the unseen state of dead souls. Demystify it, and defang it because "hell" is not to be feared.

1. It is God's desire to have an intimate relationship with each of us.
2. It impossible to be intimate with him if we don't know him.
3. Our flesh (instincts) tell us that we are the masters of our own domain, but God is the creator of all.
4. If we don't acknowledge him as God, and give him thanks we can't be intimate with him.
5. If we don't acknowledge him as God, we are still in rebellion, making intimacy impossible.
6. Though we are sinners, while we were enemies, Christ died for us to show us that not only is God God (and we're not), but that he loves us.
7. Your sins and mine HAVE been forgiven since they were nailed to the cross with Christ. It was a demonstration of how much he desires that relationship.
8. He has invited us to be the Bride of the Lamb, a term used to describe the intimate relationship between his church and the Creator.
9. Since he has first loved you, even in the midst of rebellion, how will you respond to his invitation?
