The enemy Enoch was taken away from was death  :rolllol:

Otherwise it would have read "delivered from his enemies". :2c:

Rev 11:3-5 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and three score days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

Hebrews 9:27 states everyone will die once. A possible exception are the people living when He returns. Enoch and Elijah didn't die but were taken straight to heaven. (Gen 5:24, Heb 11:5, 2Kings 2:11-12) So the two witnesses have to die; and they will because they are murdered at the end of their 3.5 year ministry by the false prophet, Abaddon.
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
The day of the Lord has yet to come. Some say John Baptist was Elijah but John lived in the glorious day of His ministry; not dreadful judgments. The time gap of 2000 years between John the Baptist and the dreadful day is just unlikely large. Plus there are two not just one witness.
Enoch VI-XI http://bookenoch.blogspot.nl/2009/05/enochvi-xi_30.html states Enoch will judge the Teraphim who had sexual relations with human females.

Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

Elijah and Enoch had the same powers millennia ago.

:2c:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

I think this quite possible, even likely.

their testimony is very important at this time. the ELIJAH[the LORD GOD-EL-I-JAH] must slay the false-prophets so the people

may know who worships the TRUE GOD[not Baal as Lord/or ASHERAH] Ahab typifies satan..and Jezebel/Babylon.Balaam's error,

....that sought

to kill the heir and seize the vineyard...even the 'certain men who slipped in..that Jude speaks of..

Enoch prophesied about these men.......very important for the saints who were overcome...

and the call to come out of Babylon[think overcome christendom laity/pope/pagan customs etc

  evidenced....]

I believe they are with us in spirit...the call come out of her my people..is akin to Alijah

saying to the people 'Come here to me...they came to him and he repaired the altar of the

Lord which was in ruins...then a rain comes..after a long drought........

I believe Enoch and Elijah's testimony were killed by doctrines of men in the church..and

lay as dead..and until their testimony/spirit is raised up to life in us..we can not ascend..either.

..for Jesus said he would strike Jezebels children with death...and we are called out and restored

and the altar restored that our offerings be acceptable to God.

Not sure I can explain it any better, but I'll try.
Elijah and Enoch are several millennia old by now. Meaning they never physically died. But they will physically die 'shortly' after God sent them back to earth as the famous 2 witnesses during the "end time".
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Sure are many opinions on this.  I see these scriptures as saying NO ONE who was born of woman is in heaven. :

Heb 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:

Joh 3:13  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

:Chinscratch:
3 John 4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

that'swhy were born again from above..so we can  ascend...sit in heavenly places..have

our conversations with angels etc.  SON OF MAN

eaglesway

Yet Paul says he was taken up into the 3rd heaven. The messenger tells John in Rev 22 "I am your fellow servant and of your brothers the prophets"-

I think that perhaps we read our suppositions into the verses sometimes as well(all of us inc me), for instance...

It is given to man once to die and then the judgment...

Perhaps the judgment for some- as it is God who is the judge of all- that they are worthy of life, as we see Satan losing an argument over the body of Moses and then Moses appearing to Jesus on the Mount.

We have a tendency to read things as laws when it suits our doctrinal prejudices- For instance, some read "all these died in faith" as a law, when an exception to any such lawful reading exists in the verses just preceding it,"Enoch was translated so that he should not see death".

I don't believe God is bound by any such laws of interpretation and I think He makes exceptions as He wills, according to the circumstance and His good pleasure.

Those who are into systematic theology always feel the need to twist the exceptions around to fit the limitations and laws of their doctrinal system. I say they need to open up their minds and see that God is not bound by such laws of interpretation and even what He sets forth in general principle and practice He can in specific instances do differently. He is not fit for our boxes- and could care less if we understand it all.
