Israel and Juda

I was reading Jeremiah sooner and I was really seeing that all the condamnations on Judah had a meaning for the church today. And it came to me that at the begginning, there was one Kingdom - Israel, but there was a revolt and it splited in two.
Now Israel was judged and destroyed but not Judah. But later, Judah was destroyed too because of the same sins which commited Isreal: mostly idolatry.

And it came to me that in the bginning there was one Church which became Catholics and there was a revolt and it splited in two.
Protestant and catholics.
Now catholics have not been destroyed but due to idolatry, have lost all their strenght. Same has happened to its sister protestantism.

What do you think?

How wretched we have become.  

A whoring wife is a wicked thing to have, but a wife who half loves you is worse.  The whoring wife is easier to leave, but the wife who half loves you, while whoring herself is a much more hurtful thing to try and be free of, you never know if she'll suddenly, at long last love you fully, and repent of her wicked sluttery, the very second before you've had enough and say: That's enough, I leave you now.

God knows everything of course, but I can see how the harlot church, once a beautiful virgin, but now a whore who who half loves him is so hurtful to him.

But I think you are right Quaesitor.

I see it similar to you except for me . . .and seriously, it's just my opinion, but I see the Catholics very similar to the same piousness of the Pharisees.  They'd already split from the Truth.  When the Protestants came into the picture, they did split off from Catholics, but to where?  I think they veered back toward the Truth even though it may still have been saturated with law, they did find freedom from the total perversion they were under with Catholic enforcers of their day.

But also . . .it was still in the days of labor, they were still all governed by the old law in one level or another.  That's why I think where we are now is a unique and drastic change from where our ancestors came from.  The Sabbath Day message, which emphasizes rest through relationship instead of religion through works.  And as such, what we see now is the affects of that Day coming.

I do not see the Protestant church so different than the catholic one. Sure Catholic's idolatry is more obvious but both live off rituals and man-made traditions.

It was a great thing, they brought truth out from the pit but still, in it's early form was as unloving and sometimes even worse.

It's always the same question, can a religious institution really please God?

Jesus himself was pretty much called a Heretic for all intents and purposes.  Are we not meant to be like our Father incarnate?

Inevitably, when Christ expresses from within us, his vessel...the King of Truth, called a heretic by the blind religious-caste of men...will be called a heretic again, through us.

I feel exaltation at the thought of not going to church anymore, I sense a freedom I have never tasted before.

That's what I had on my heart for most of the day, if I want the Spirit to be free through me, I have to be free from the bondage of men's doctrines.

That, sir, is heresy!
