Sharing my "heresy" with my girlfriend

Hello,

I finally shared my belief in the "beautiful heresy" with my girlfriend. I told her that I believe that most of the mankind will finally be saved in the end.
Luckily, she understood me. I was very afraid that she is too fundie and she may leave me forever :( But luckily, she told me: "I understood you, and I will never leave you because of that".
Praise God for her understanding.

I think the key is to remain the same in other ways so they do not think you have gone off the deep end into a cult or something. I have been walking in this light for a couple of years and my wife of 22 years is still not sure about UR. But she knows that I am still me and still love her and the Lord so she is fine with it. She is not sure that it is true, but she says she really hopes so because she would not want anyone to spend eternity without God.

Good for her! It isn't as if there is anything in the Bible that explicitly says, "Thou shalt believe in the eternal torment of the wicked," or anything like that. :P

:cloud9: You know John, that is a very simple statement, but there is a lot of wisdom in that. When I have talked to people in person, from most all denominations, I have noticed the Lord seems to have me speak those things that line up with their doctrinal beliefs FIRST, even if I'm not necessarily aware of what their beliefs are, so I seem "normal" to them, or sometimes they even assume I'm "one of them".

Then and if it progresses, He may take their rapture away without me saying it directly, or lead them to UR, again without me saying it directly, like a thief in the night time of their souls, He comes and "steals" that which is not like Him. It's as if He builds a bridge in this way, to the island of denominational doctrines they've isolated themselves from His (Spirit) body with, then pulls them in a little closer. Blessings to you....

The truth does bring eternal hope!  My wife has always been a recovering Catholic, and quite opposed to religion in any formal sense.  Through the course of our few years together, she has had time to discuss my beliefs, which obviously are quite different from both of our Catholic upbringings.  Though she still is leery of "church", she has found the UR concept acceptable, actually I should say logical.  That she has found in it a source of hope, and a bridge back to faith is testament to His strength.
