Great thread, and yes God brought the fall of Babylon for good purpose,  thanks for your message in this thread Molly regarding Babylon and what has been revealed to you.

I am not ignoring you Jabcat, I have enjoyed and received many helpful points from the threads and replies you have posted, and yes we do have seasons during our journey through this world to just be quiet and rest in the Lord, I am not politicaly correct and am not going to pretend I am correct to the letter when it comes to scripture  so I don't know what verse it is where it says "Be still and know that I am God" also another verse "he leads us by still waters" then there is John 21:22 that speaks to me about this as well that if God wills that a man tarry for a season until he comes what is that to me?, all of these point to rest in him IMHO, I think we all need a resting in him alone season just as sure as we have need of sleep and rest in the natural life from our labors, our fellowman and the system of this world to just Tarry a time in a certain places with him alone until he calls us to move on from there.

The bigger arguments around here have happened with the folks with the least Scripture to share about anything you can think of.

Perhaps it depends on your definition of teaching 'cause I don't regard anything as teaching that doesn't have some Scripture with it. 

Really???? If God teaches us in so many different ways OUTSIDE of the bible... why don't you think human beings can then pass those same teachings to other human beings??

Lessons and parables ABOUND all around us... we just need to open our eyes and SEE.

Scripture ain't the only thing...
