No Condemnation

 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.   Romans 8:1,2

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.  Galatians 5:13

Paul earlier said he wished those troubling the Galatians about literal circumcision would go even further and castrate themselves  :eyebrow:.   

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor..Romans 12:10

Interesting thought, Card.  It's also an interesting concept connected to the thought of treating one another kindly.  I think he meant it;  i.e., don't cause trouble for those walking in the freedom of the life of Jesus, filled with His Spirit.

I got to thinking today about better ways to explain how God deals with us in His sovereignty to help us to see what is the right choice to make in any given situation, and then to make that right choice. What came to my remembrance was when Jesus spoke of the resurrection of damnation in John 5:29. It would have been better translated "the resurrection of judgment", but it is still a legitimate Scripture that must be embraced and understood. The word "damnation" or "judgment" that is used by the KJV in various spots comes from the Greek word "#2920 // krisiv // krisis // kree'-sis //". It the word from which we get our English word CRISIS. You see...sometimes God has to put us in a crisis situation in order that we can be corrected, see the error of our ways, learn what is the right choice to make, and then make it. It is not that He forces us to make the right decision, BUT HE DOES (IN HIS SOVEREIGNTY) PUT US IN A CRISIS THAT WE ARE THEN ABLE TO SEE THAT HIS WAYS ARE RIGHT! For example, do you remember the story of Jonah? Well...sure you do. God asked Jonah to go to Nineveh and Jonah said...no. Then Jonah got on a ship going in the opposite direction. Then a storm came (from God) that was so strong that it just about destroyed the ship and endangered the lives of those on board. Then Jonah admitted to those on board that he was running from the presence of the Lord. Then Jonah asked to be thrown over the side of the ship into the water. Then Jonah was swallowed up by a great fish WHICH THE LORD HAD PREPARED FOR HIM. THEN JONAH PRAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then the fish vomited out Jonah. Then God asked Jonah to go to Nineveh again. THIS TIME JONAH WENT AND DID ALL THE LORD COMMANDED HIM!!! What made the difference? Do you think it could have possibly been that great fish? I think so! God put Jonah in a crisis situation in which Jonah was able to see that is was good and right to obey the Lord. God helped Jonah to make the right choice. God corrected Jonah through judgment (crisis). THIS IS HOW GOD DEALS WITH US ON BOTH SIDES OF THE GRAVE.  Some think that God can only correct someone up until their last breath, but the Bible does not teach that. Jesus said there would be those who were raised in the resurrection of judgment (crisis). Since we just learned that the judgment (crisis) of God is for correction, then that tells us that those in the resurrection of judgment (crisis) will be corrected. God has a great fish for all those who run from His presence in this life. It is called THE LAKE OF FIRE. It speaks of the divine purification of God that will be administered until correction is brought forth. Just like Jonah...when many are raised up in the resurrection of judgment (put in the crisis of the lake of fire), THEN THEY WILL PRAY AND CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD!
