"discerning of spirits"

Good morning! :hiya:

...When you get a little older you can get very reflective. You realize how fast the filmstrip of life runs! There's things in your house and on your walls, loved ones gave many years ago.. Your kids are in their 30's!!!??!!

It's in these reflective moments (for some time now I realize) I'll have a thought pop up which will cause a mild foreboding, something like "I am ill" (with some grave illness) "who will do for them what I do when I'm gone.." things like that..

I pray these 'away' and deny to myself (& the Lord?) their validity. Today I feel especially reassured and strengthened in my spirit about it. (It's not the first time over the years this type of thing has occurred.)

Imo, these thoughts are dark entities. They're tricky. They know to insert them where and when they might be able to weave them into the person's psyche. And this makes them a lie. Jesus said "according to your faith so be it".

I don't know what's true for anyone else, but I feel the Lord told me many years ago "no negatives" - I don't have to listen to any negatives.. including for others. Always cover them with prayers, any 'threats'/forebodings concerning loved ones or self.

And today, I'm also thinking about doctrine, wondering if there too, "no negatives".

We "live and breathe and have our being" not only in He, who is "all in all", but also in His "wrath" with all die (--being the main symptom). But this is not a 'negative'! Ultimately. Because all this is consequence and results, and we are learning.

Glenda... so much of what you shared re: "no negatives" really speaks to my own walk... our Lord has given me so many blessings = reasons to be positive...in continual thankfulness and praise!!!!

Jesus told us that he would send the Spirit to teach us of the things he spoke about in person. LOVE!!!!


He also said that we would: "Know the Truth and that it would set s free."


To me, this is as plain as a large black dot on a white canvas. The simple truth is that the TRUTH CANNOT be MISTAKEN  :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob:


Because the freedom it brings is undeniable.


The ONLY reality is LOVE and anything that is not LOVE is an illusion.


Don't we see things through different eyes as we mature? Eyes filled with Love  :HeartThrob:
