I don't think we should be in expectation of troubles, calamity, stripes

..Not that I don't think these can happen, and do in every life. And yes our Father may correct us at times. But I used to have a sort of sentiment and abiding feeling of  "when is the ax going to fall?" If things are going good.. or even just okay.. why surely.. the ax will fall soon.. Root of ancient man's trying to please, and appease, 'the gods'?

But the Lord ministered to me that this was not an acceptable psyche kind of thing. I am His child, His own, and I needn't have a spirit of fear and cringing.

Really good for battling this sentiment - because the adversary(s) threaten us often - is Psalm 91. I was reminded of this, this evening by meditating on Psalm 91:1, using the interlinear biblehub app on my phone ( ) and tracing and pondering each phrase and Word using the interlinear numbers.. (it's a new practice I have and I'm enjoying it a lot.. I used to have only the big Strong's concordance)

Nehemiah 8:10

And Nehemiah continued, "Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don't be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!"

The joy of the Lord is our strength! Exactly!

I'm not sure why there is so much rage about end times and trouble and calamity. Recently I read in a newssite that these times are actually peaceful if you subtract the ISIS terror and Syria and some of Africa. It's more of a troubled time in the medias who don't report on the good things going on. We should make an effort to search the web for good news specifically.
