UNION WITH THE LIGHT

(I'm quoting the last paragraph first)

"Herein is another depth of meaning for Psalm 118:24, 'This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.'  It is true, every morning, seven days a week, we can arise with the knowledge that He is in control of all our days, that our times are in His hand.  But there is so much more, for those who are in UNION WITH THE LIGHT are properly called His day.  Hence we no longer look just to the calendar for an understanding of the times, but we look to see what HE IS DOING IN A PEOPLE,  they are His "signs of the times."

First three paragraphs:

"For at one time you were darkness itself, but now in union with the Lord you are light itself.  You must live like children of light." Eph 5:8 (Williams)

"By the grace of God I am what I am."  1 Cor 15:10.  All that we are, or ever will be, is the result of the inworkings of His grace.  There is no magic formula with its do-it-yourself-kit of works whereby we arrive.  It is all a sovereign work of sovereign grace, redounding to the glory of God, for we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, "created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."  Eph 2:10.

Once we were darkness itself.  Since that was our nature, you do not change it, the only solution is death, die out to that nature and be born from above, becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus, children of the Light.  The word "children" here is the Greek "teknon" means:  ONE BORN.  When you are born of the light, then your nature is of the light.  Our union with our Lord brings us into oneness with all that HE IS.

Those who are of the night can only speak the language of the night.  Those who are of the negative can only speak that which is negative.  "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."  Matt 12:34.  Those who are of the condemnation order only speak condemnation.  Likewise, those who are of the light shall surely speak of the light."
