knowing He was to be betrayed

..."knowing the things He was about to suffer.. He said, `the Son of man is about to be betrayed.. but woe to he who does the betraying`.."

We know Jesus was thinking about, was concerned for, and had empathy for Judas! His betrayer..

Are we now supposed to believe it is ok - with Him and with His Father of whom He is the "exact representation of" - that millions forever-and-ever-perish (oh the irony?) in fiery torments?

We are supposed to, by those who do suppose, but we don't suppose.... We know that Jesus is Lord, and Every knee shall bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth- and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father, so that God will be All in All after all things are gathered into one in Christ Jesus :o)

Amen! It gets clearer and clearer the mental somersaults which have to be done to suppose some of the things which are supposed! :mshock:

I'm always amazed to find sometimes even in the interlinear.. strong's or whatnot concordant interpretations seem to carry a word quite a bit further than what would seem to be the logical meaning of a word. Like "destruction"... always the supposing flies to "utterly destroyed forever".. And some commentaries! :faint:

I recently read a small account of some of the worst - very graphic, I knew some of it was bad, but wow - hellfire preaching.. Graphic phrases we do not find anywhere in the scriptures! And from some of those very famous preachers who, of course, went on to become the foundation of a denomination or of mainstream belief for many denominations. Oy.

But Praise the Lord!! We can read for ourselves.. and when we read "all" or "pas" (the whole) we, by the grace of the heavenly Father, can read it as is. We have escaped doctrinal peer pressure that seeks to contradict. :banana: :dsunny:
