Praying the end from the beginning.

Hi all,

I've been spending daily prayer in thankfulness for the completion/end through faith.  Rather than "pleading" to God for this or that; I've decided to thank God for the completion of my desire.  I see God, having a desire; knowing the end from the beginning; and think that we are given the Spirit to co-create through faith.  Any thoughts.

Pro 10:24  The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Pro 11:23  The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

Pro 13:12  Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Pro 13:19  The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.

Pro 19:22  The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.

Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Rom 4:17  (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

1Th 5:18  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Mat 17:20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.


And any thoughts that rise up against my desire and end that i've thanked God for;

2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Jer 29:11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

:cloud9: Your desire goes on the altar to be cleansed by fire, then to be 'replaced' or rather quickened by the life of HIS desire. Desire is the last watch of the 'nighttime' of our souls, in which the last of our soul is turned over to Him. If He has brought you to this place, that is a good thing, because the desire of all nations shall come, and you want it to be HIS desire. Blessings....

Hi Zeek,

I found your thread.  Some good thoughts here.  I do find prayer to be much deeper than a wish list.  Because Paul taught that in whatsoever state we find ourselves in, we should be content.  That means our peace is not tied to our circumstances.  Easier said than done, I know!  I find that my level of fretting depends greatly on where my mind is focused.  In that sense, to meditate on the things of God which are good and lovely brings about a "pocket" of peace into the world.  What if everyone on earth was thinking only lovely thoughts!  Imagine what that would do!

Funny, I've felt the urge to read a chapter of proverbs a day again, and this stuck out for me two days ago

"Let not thy heart be envious of sinners,
Only the reverence of Yahweh all day long;

"For surely there is a future,
And thine expectation shall not be cut off"  Prov 23 17-18

There's a push of maturity happening. I was given a word in which God told me for about a month that "this was the end". I didn't know what it meant and to be honest it made me a bit anxious. But now with clarity he is showing me that it is not a gloomy end, but literally and end to peices of my old self, being exposed for what they were, and being burned away. In it his spirit seeds are blooming showing more of him to the world, and the desires of the world are decreasing more and more.
For me it is more confirmation in the spirit as well that whenever there is an "end" in speaking of God( 1 Cor 15) it is never doom and gloom, but is always an end to a former inferior state, after which his glory is shown greater than ever.
