Title: Can you really " Inspire Someone in Christ?" If so, How?
Post by: Mickiel on January 07, 2008, 02:45:44 AM

You ever really wanted to inspire someone " In Christ", which means to truly inspire them in truth. All things aside, this is a wonderful inner desire to have, if one has it. Paul said something in Philemon 20, latter part of verse that kind of catches the eye; "Refresh My Heart in Christ." Wouldn't that be quite something if we could refresh the heart of others in Christ. Can it really be done? If so, then  how?

How do you help someone Spiritually? Is it just a God thing, something only God can do? Well no, I think anyone can do it. In fact, one could live their life doing it. Thats whats being a deciple or a Minister really is. Have you ever discipled anyone? Have you ever Ministered to anyone, and done those things in truth?

Well you know the oppurtunity is ripe, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Christ, as a person, was really superior to all others he encountered, but the people he encountered never saw a superior aittitude comming out of him. So the first approach in helping others, is humility. If you would desire to help, then you must learn humility within yourself. Your approach, your thinking, your Heart, all focused on the person that you are looking to inspire.

Jesus was " Made" a little Lower than Angels, by his humanity and sufferings, Heb. 2:9, and tasted death for everyone. This is a very important part of the humility of Christ, and it qualifies him to help anyone. If I confronted anyone who I wanted to inspire, and told them that I died for their sins, this automatically opens an avenue to help them. So Christ is the perfect help for anyone. But since we have not died for people, then our humility can be that death.

We humble ourselves, bring ourselves down, so that the person we are looking to inspire, can be lifted. We can do this with our body language, our verbal language, even our written language. Get yourself out of the way, and think of the other person, the other self you seek to serve. Its hard to help someone, when you are " Lording it Over them" in some kind of fashion.

In order to help someone, there is no need to humble Them, or put them into a position of weaker, and yourself as stronger. Thats a way for a warrior to make an enemy submit on a battlefield.

But anyway, I wanted to go into how to really inspire someone in Christ.

Perace.

I believe that I have done this, but do not believe that we can choose to do it at will. We do our best to be led by the Spirit and to speak a word in season. Sometimes, God quickens what we say and others have their spirits inspired by what we spoke because God revealed to them that they were His words, also. This is all we can ever hope for.

Well yes, on a level,  that much you said is true, but there is another level. Lets just use carnality as an example. Can one  carnal person, simply help another carnal person to do or think good? Well I think so. It may not last but a day, but even if it last a second, there is merit in that. For that second, the carnal person believed that they could do good. And as you say, that second of good thinking, may be all that one person could hope for. And you know, I have looked into the eyes of " That second" in people. Talking with people, counseling them in the Federal detention system, I could see a few seconds of hope in peoples eyes, they believed for a moment. And that moment, is a witness, the witness Jesus spoke of. But I know beter than to try to convert anyone, so I do not. I am not converted myself.

But I sincerely believe that if the Truth can inspire a " Carnal Person", then it certainly can inspire someone God is dealing with at some stage in their Lives. I have seen this also. In order to help someone Spiritually, you cannot Judge THEIR Spirituality.  This is why humility is important, because we don't even need to be aware that we even did help them, the fruit of growth could come without the helper even being aware of it, is perhaps best done that way anyhow. But helping someone, does not have to involve speaking to them. Things you write can help people to understand Christ just a little more, and we need not judge weather they are being called or not. If they are Spiritual or not, thats almost like asking if God Desires that they be helped or not.

So in helping someone, or giving inspiration that is " In Christ", humility is very important, as well as not prejudging their level of Spirituality.

Peace.

Another way to Inspire someone In Christ, is to keep your life together. To stay the course that you are on. As the world continues to fall apart, people are falling apart, loosing it. In time they will see a " Unity " in you, something holding you together, and that will attract them.

Another way to Inspire someone in Christ, is to be there for them. Always be a Spiritual Voice in their ear. Never burn the bridige between you and them, and always connect with them in some kind of way.

Peace.
