micah7:9

(CLV) Behold, drive me do You out today off the surface of the ground, and from Your face shall I be concealed, and become shall I a rover and a wanderer in the earth. And it comes that anyone finding me will kill me. Gen. 4:14

(Rotherham)  And Yahweh said unto the accuser, Whence comest thou? And the accuser answered Yahweh, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and wandering about therein.  Job 1:7

As far as I know Cain is no more read about past Gen. 4:25 until Heb. 11:4, I Jo. 3:12, Jude 1:11 Is it a possible thought that this very personality of Cain is the principality of the Adversary?

I think we all have a cain to deal with, but scripturally the 2 are to far apart.

Cain runs away from them who want to murder him, while the adversary as you call him, goes about as a roaring lion seeking who he may devour.

Kill H5221 nâkâh A primitive root; to strike (lightly or severely, literally or figuratively):
Rom 8:13 for if you are living in accord with flesh, you are about to be dying. Yet if, in spirit, you are putting the practices of the body to death, you will be living."
Mortify G2289 thanatoō  to kill (literally or figuratively

Considering the distance between Genesis and Job - Cain is quite dead.

Not speaking of the person, man Cain.
Eph 6:12  because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places;

In my opinion, I'd say that The Adversary carries the aspect of all wicked ideals, not just murder, or the curse of wandering (having no solid foundation, or rock, or dwelling).

But I could see a possibility in someone having a Cainist mindset that has been perpetrated by the spiritual dark-rulers that probably brought it about in Cain himself, the first and hence - the namesake.

micah7:9

The adversary had the attributes from the beginning, I reason that the episode of Cain is very close to the beginning. Tho I am in no way (as was earlier stated,) that Cain is the adversay, but as you use the word "mindset" Cain's personality, put that into a principality and there is possibly a foe. We are dealing with the spiritual.
The Adversary, mindset was also in the enchanter of verse 1 chapter 3 so my thoughts maybe off. It was the phrase "walking to and fro in the earth" that caught my thought. All I am sure of is that God, the Lord God created the adversary very early, no not early, from the beginning and we find or at least I find no evidence of the adversary being created, be that a being, a cherub, or celestial, but we are told
Col 1:16  for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;
Col 1:17  and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

So the adversary was "out of the Creator."

The adversary would come out of the creator if he was a cherub or angel, in any case.

Yes. But the adversary is not a cherub, or but wait maybe a cherub would work Cherub  H3742
Of uncertain derivation; a cherub or imaginary figure: - cherub, [plural] cherubims.
But the adversary is certainly a messenger(angel)

Lefein

Just to note; imaginary figure does not automatically necessitate "non-existent, metaphorical", in the case of a cherub...it would be more likened to being "extraordinary".

micah7:9

  כּרוּב   Cherub  H3742 Strongs /The Hebrew and English Lexicon of the Old Testament Brown, Driver, and Briggs mentions nothing of extraxordinary. Yet that meaning deserves credence. The adversary is most certainly extraordinary and I might ad that the adversary most certainly exists. My only point is that the same response came from both Cain in Ge. 4 as well as the adversary in Job.1

My definition wasn't from strongs, but was from usage in life; "That's quite imaginative!" :)

As for Cain and Adversary; like father, like son?
