Sharing UR with other Christians

I know we've talked about this before, and the traffic on this site has really died down so who knows how many responses I'll get, but:

When I became a UR believer I shared it enthusiastically with everyone I knew, because it's just such good news, and I figured people would be as relieved and excited as I was.

My non religious friends were happy I didn't think they would be eternally damned, but didn't change their own beliefs per se (but many became more comfortable with Christianity and seemed to be more open to spiritual beliefs in general knowing this was an "option," as many people didn't even know that CU was a "thing.").

My Christian friends were so set against UR and so adamant that I was wrong/deceived etc that I was really disheartened. Some of them I even sent Tentmaker articles and bible verses but they refused to even entertain the idea that it could be true.

So I have since stopped sharing openly, but sometimes I will say something like "I don't believe the same as you" if they bring up certain things. But I won't discuss further because I don't want to engage in debates or anything of the sort.

Recently I was wondering if I should share with a Christian friend who doesn't know that I believe in UR, but knowing full well that she will reject it. I guess it's the idea that I've hidden my belief from her somehow? I haven't shared but I haven't lied, I just don't discuss details about theology, even if it's brought up I try to steer the conversation away because debates are exhausting and fruitless. People will believe UR when they are ready and seek it and want the answer.

So I'm not looking to convert her or give her the Bible verses or articles, but I would like it to be known what I truly believe for the sake of transparency.

I faced a very negative reaction from Orthodox Christians in my country. They were also set against it. But I will not give up.

hi Godislove  :girlheart: I would wait for an opening.. having prayed, I'm sure it will occur.. I have found ET/ETC believers to calm down by the question or thought "do I have to believe in hell to be saved?"

I like to just mention  a UR verse, when it fits the conversation. And just leave it as seed. And I don't mind at all letting the one I'm talking to have the last word. That way - I think - it remains as seed.. rather than being thoroughly tore up and tossed aside?

I also find lately that referring to what it is God is doing helps a lot too.. As food for thought for unbelievers and also believers, as few folks truly would like to be fully programmed without genuine thinking and reasoning ability - thus, sooner or later the ability to make choices. Which means He's allowing choices other than His to exist and run their course. Would we be convinced any other way? Than it all actually running its course? How the Lord is the prototype, what all must be made like in order for there to be a just universe of peace snd joy because God/love/life thoroughly rules.

If we only forgive/love them which forgive/love us, what makes us any different than any one else in this world?  :sigh:

I would rather show the Light of Forgiveness than the darkness of unforgiveness.  :2c:

It sounds as thought it is weighing on your mind, and may be time. The vast majority of Christians I have ever told have rejected the word, but it is a relief to bear testimony, if the time is right. Once in a while, their heart is ready, too!

Someone wrote that Joseph was in a unique position. Though he had been raised up and promoted, at the time his brothers arrived, no-one ate with him. You see, his brothers (fellow believers) did not recognize him as their brother, while the Egyptians (the world) knew he was not one of them. So he ate alone (Genesis 43:32).

I am convinced that we are in the time of eating alone.
