How many on this forum believe and accept amid all the trouble, turmoil, and death in the middle east and around the world, doubt, that everything and anything that is operating and happening, is within the Lord Jesus Christ and His plan?
In other words, is anything that is happening, is it not within the console of the Creator and Lord of ALL? We worry about Israel, Gaza, ISIL,(sp) Hamas (sp) is the Lord Jehovah in trouble?

I for one will not, and do not concern myself with the mischief that is going on in the world. Either my God and Lord knows all things or He does not. I believe He does.
When we all can see and accept the Revelation of Jesus Christ is what wars in us,(for Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy) as individuals, and overcome, then the real obstacles, through Him, we over come much. This is my belief and also for the sake of legality.....my opinion.

We use the word "love" and attribute it to God. We say: "God is love".

I believe that we know little about the magnificent depth of Divine Love. I also believe that the more we can know Divine Love, the more we understand of Him.

So, in my opinion, it is more accurate to say: "God is Sacrificial Love". God has always been "Sacrificial Love" and God always will be "Sacrificial Love".

Self-Sacrifice cannot ever be separated from real Divine Love – they are as one.

Furthermore, I would say – to make a point – that: "God is Self-Sacrificial". That is the God who loves His children each one. He has always been "Self-Sacrificial" and He will never stop being "Self-Sacrificial".

Who could not give their life in love and adoration to Him?

In truly giving ourselves to Him we can overcome all things as we carry our cross in this little world where sickening evil is wrought.

He has shown us the Way of the Cross.

"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

Gregory of Nazianzu

Lazarus Short

Troubles have always been with us in this age of sin and death.  It was the same when the apostle wrote that all things work together for good.  Bad things happen, but there is a lesson in it.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

I believe that the world is facing judgement right now, especially America. However, Christian Universalism has taught me that the purpose of God's judgements is to purify us not to condemn us. I have faith that this is all part of his greater plan to purify all of humanity and everyone will be saved eventually. That salvation of all of mankind is the greatest hope that a believer can have during these perilous times.

Seth

I do believe that the things described in the OP are part and parcel of God's plans. I don't necessarily think that God is judging America to the exclusion of America's enemies though. I think God is allowing mankind to bring judgment upon itself through its own actions, and the more we squabble over bits of land and treaties and all these earthly concerns, the more our own sin will bring us down until we know that man himself is a beast. The Gospel provides the way out of this vicious circle of violence. The ministry of reconciliation which says "be yet reconciled to God."

Yes, even Sodom and Egypt will be gathered into one in Christ.

the world and it's problems seem to be increasing since this OP.  Fukishema news not good. OP and thread  even more timely.

By definition wisdom comes from experience- ergo no experience no wisdom.
Problem solving is actually a great way to learn.

I.M.O the increase in the problems is to show that mankind does not know everything yet.
Many of our current leaders cannot even agree on the size of the problem or the possible resolutions to the problem.
Watching them argue about who is correct can be like watching two bulls in a china shop arguing about who knocks things down first- neither bull realizing that they are looking from the wrong perspective in the first place. They would only learn when the error of their ways was pointed out to them by their owner. Even then that would take a lot of explaining to remove the initial behaviour patterns.

Paul talks about the flesh versus the spirit is Galations 5- they are basically opposite to each other.
Many of our leaders are still in the flesh- but all for a reason to show that just good intentions do not always answer the questions.
Mankind will be corrected through the judgment era- then will the right way exceed the current wrong way.

Indeed part and parcel of mans' learning process. After all, before one can judge one needs to know the system inside and out, along with the values which majorly influence decision.

I watched a movie about the Chernobyl one.. yikes... so very sad.. "Chernobyl" - I believe I read at the time, that in the Ukraine language, chernobyl means wormwood, which as we know is a word used in Revelation, not that chernobyl was the fulfillment.. it's just interesting is all.. ultimately 1/3 of the waters made bitter.. All these things from man's original splitting of the atom-(Rev 6:12-17 told as a blend of its 1st and its last; and 13:13/dah?)

I used to pass by a nuclear energy power plant once a year.. with its two large tubes or whatever.. always gives me chills.. I don't like them at all. Considered to be "good clean energy"...

Amen, Seth, I believe that too. As I believe He's letting flawed character run its course.. which will utterly prove Him to be 100% correct in all things..

Amen!! The way of flawed character (carnal nature/'the flesh') is "dog eat dog".. Which can never work. "Dog eat dog" has in it annihilation (of all). The destination of all (annihilation/perishing) were it not for His intervention - But of course He subjected all to vanity.. I can only presume, to prove His point.. that He and He alone, is life. I believe that God is totally in control of all things micah. It really troubles me to hear someone say that God gave us free will/made us free moral agents and he will not go against that.   I do believe God gives us choices good and evil but God also gives us everything that we choose and always knows and influences the outcome.

Great points from all you fine folks. I'm only adding my  :2c: to hopefully edify and have His will be done on earth as it is in heaven

Yes it seems like this wold is in bad shape. Why is this? Alot of factors, for sure. But I can't help to think what Jesus Kingdom produces vs the kingdom of this world.

The Kindom of the Prince of Peace:

Isa.2.2-4.NIV In the last days the mountain of the Lord 's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.  He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

Is this future? Unfortunately, until the WHOLE Body of Christ become the branches of Christ and become the healing of all the nations...then yes. But we must understand that the Kingdom of God has been established in Jesus generation 2,000 years ago as a mustard seed. We must live as He lived to see the governments of this world be on His shoulders. It is through us that His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. The Kingdom of God is within you! The world will change by individuals hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. Not by Christ coming down and changing it from the outside in. It does not matter what goes into the mouth that defiles a man but what comes out that defiles a man.

Yes, be reconciled all ye ends of the earth! Christ had done it. Set in the heavenlys with Christ! Your Kingdom has come so let your will be done on earth as it is Heaven :dsunny:

Love you all and let us be His light in the world! Woo hoo!
