Hell Cast Into Hell? LOL

In Revelation 20:14 it says: 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Anybody else notice the contradiction? Within most New Testament translations Hades is translated as "hell" when Jesus speaks, and the LoF is thought of, by most Christians, as Hell. But now, in Revelation, it is conveniently translated as Hades! Because if it was to be translated as "hell" it would read:

14Then death and Hell were thrown into the lake of fire [that is, Hell]. The lake of fire is the second death. 

So, in other words: Hell is thrown into Hell! lol Silly translators xD

Just read the "hell" that gets thrown into LOF.  God
is that LOF.........and he's swallowing some bad stuff
there!  Guess He can deliver any way He wants.
HE IS GOOD to His Children, tho we do not always
understand, sometimes wiggle, and sometimes question.
We are the work of His Hands and when He finishes
us............walla!

A few thoughts on Hades;

Hades is the brother of Zeus. After the overthow of their Father Cronus he drew lots with Zeus and Poseidon, another brother, for shares of the world. He had the worst draw and was made lord of the underworld, ruling over the dead.  www.greekmythology.com

And the one I prefer;  The word essentially means 'an concealed place for dead people,' (i.e., a grave).  A grave is the clear common sense understanding of every instance of Hades.  The word is synonymous with Sheol, both mean GRAVE.  Anthony V. Basicly I think that what started as something good intended got out of control.
To convert people as quickly as possible things where rephrased a little so that it was Christianity but the recently converted pagan still felt at home.
Easter and Christmas are good examples of this.
But the old customs resurfaced.
Pagan hell was assimilated by Christianity but it resurfaced. Now Christianity claims it was always theirs....

Actually, what I find is that most Christians have "hell" and the LOF thoroughly confused. Their version of "hell" seems to be a combination of components of hades, tartarus, gehenna, and a literalistic vision of the LOF rolled into one strange and unbiblical concept.
