well,to me,ultimately Babylon is a spirit of wickedness...and has been expressed in the works of men,in various degrees throughout

  the generations...Jerusalem exhibited it when they persecuted those who put faith in Christ,and Christ himself.

  Hitler exhibited it to an extreme degree..catholic church exhibited. it in the crusades and  in the inquisition in an extreme form..Ahab,Jezebel....

    Isis terrorism..it's  the spiritof wickedness manifest  in people in various degree's.......corruption.............in various degrees

  manifest throughout earth by various people..through time.

I agree:

I don't see modern Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Egypt drinking the wine of Catholicism's fornication, or even Protestantism's fornication. They think WE are of the devil, or Babylon. Any more than I see America, France, Germany and the UK drinking the wine of radical Muslim fornication. If they are, then I think it goes much deeper than a certain religion or country. It goes to the depth of who we are as "natural brute beasts."

What ALLLLL these nations who are fighting eachother have in common is the wine which is of themselves:

Isaiah 49
26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Come out of her my people, that ye receive not of her plagues: death, mourning, famine.

Romans 8:13
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

  Yes Babylon is just a  wicked , self righteous  , prideful, and hateful    spirit in  mankind    exposing the man of sin    in  whomever's hearts   that is seated in    and NOT JESUS CHRIST       called many things ,  anti-Christ  ,     etc ,   all from the     origin and   father   of  generations  of the enmity seed  of bruising  heads and   biting heels

  I believe this,  as a truth and know Jesus  Words of warning  .  in  both   ways , we can see  truth shining though ,       those whom go to save their lives will loose it and those whom loose their lives  for HIS  sake will  find it
