Jock, there is a false-religious spirit that misleads people and works lying signs and wonders.  Many of the people

do not know what they are doing..and do not know Christ... these workers of 'iniquity" as sons of

perdition...are done away with at the 'breath of His coming in judgement' when He sends them[lying spirits] off


        these mislead people..have iniquity in their judgement...they will claim great glory for themselves

     weighing great grace unto themselves...and deny it to other's.  unjust judges lacking true judgement

   for they do not know Him.

    when the sons of thunder asked if they should call down fire from heaaven on the heads of those

who refused to receive them...Jesus said 'Ye know not what spirit ye are of"

   these lying spirits that sit in the temple[man's bodies] of God and claim they are God..coz desolation

   to His house...they mislead many men..who beleive this spir4it is God.  they do not treaat the flock

with tenderness..are false shepherds..clouds without rain etc[Jude]

  mankind to the kingdom prepared for them.  Ezekiel 34    I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down

     I will rescur my flock from their mouths.....I will shepherd the flock with justice[not iniquity/fals3e balance

  weight/measure of grce]   Must my flock feed on what you have trampled and drink what you have

muddied with your feet?

Amen!!! ..also I believe at His return, many who have professed to be believers will wonder why they were not part of the 1st resurrection and meeting the Lord in the air as He approached the planet (at Jerusalem at Mount of Olives- Zech 14:4). They believed themselves, perhaps, to be part of the inner circle, and want to be part, at that time, of Jesus' inner circle, so to speak, at the time, which of course is those who will 'reign' with Him for the millenium, which i think means we will be working with Him.. (also during the long, or what seems to me, must be a very long day of judgment, after all not having come to the faith (yet) have been resurrected from their graves, but i think i'm wandering).

Not being part of that inner circle, Jesus tells them, no... I'm sorry.. says depart from Him.. won't be given access to Jerusalem/the inner circle (during that age).. as we know there are verses which say there will be survivors of late day events upon earth during the millenium, it even says, I believe, life span will be extended.

by using your name. We draw a lot of attention when we do these miracles,
and by using your name .WE get lots of questions and we teach thousands
through hours of end less of work.
Now Lord there are millions who, know how to use your name.

There is no way to change what God thinks of you.
You can however change what you think of God

Thanks folks for your wise replies.

I was involved in Pentecostal/Charismatic churches for a long time but then I left because I couldn't stand it any more. It was an "emotion-fest"!

Then I was involved with some house churches who were good on some things but they believe they are the "only ones". I left under a cloud and I was terrified of going to hell because I thought for sure that God hated me and was going to kill me because I had left there. I think I have gone through PTSD since.

It was the revelation that there is no hell and that there are people who can minister to me, that a healing began to take place. I have not read my Bible for 5 years though because any verse that even hints at damnation still has an effect on me. The Christian religion can really mess a person up.

An accurate translation is not about "damnation" because it reveals the overwhelming love of God that reconciles all on earth and in the heavens. I came out of the Roman Catholic Church when I was young, and I spent some time in "Pentecostal/Charismatic churches" too. You're right about them being an "emotion-fest." You don't have to be "terrified of going to hell" and keep suffering with "PTSD" as a result of the condemnation of church folks because their doctrine is a lie. God's love will give you peace.

For me too, Jock. PTSD is often only a troubling scripture away. A return to that gut wrenching, all-encompassing fear that robs the peace that we first knew IN Christ.

Colleen, I concur, but I know that fear is never of God, perfect love is! The Lord is teaching me not to trust my feelings, but to cast faith in the things He has spoken. Sometimes these spirits come with their threats and sometimes the Lord will bail me out by reminding me of the truth, but I am learning to put them away myself.

It's not easy at times, being here at TM helps though   :dsunny:

Brother, don't doubt, and don't fear. Those are nothing by diversionary tactics of the Adversary who is most effective coming at you through church doctrine.

The sword of the spirit is the word of God. That is your weapon for spiritual warfare. Don't be deceived into thinking the powers of darkness have an advantage because they don't. The Adversary's method of operation is deception. So know the word of God to know the truth, and you won't be deceived. An don't try to overcome evil by yourself, bro. The spirit of God which is the power of God is the way to do it. Believe me. I speak from experience. I've overcome some heavy duty battles in my life only by the power of God. God's love is the most powerful force in the universe that overcomes all. I don't care what you're talking about. There's nothing that God's love can't overcome. Get into the inspired written word of God to be empowered with the spirit of God. That will dispel your fear.
