Rev 20 verse 15 'thrown' into the Lake of Fire is a mistranslation

ETers like to say people are 'thrown' into the Lake o Fire but the word translated as 'thrown' in the KJV in Rev 20 verse 15 is 'ball?' which, according to Strongs, can mean 'placed' which changes the entire gist of the verse.God 'places' people in there He doesnt 'throw' them in. Its a place of correction not fiery torture.
