Title: "Cast us in the swine"
Post by: CrossoverManiac on August 10, 2009, 09:57:57 PM
Jesus exercise 6000 demons from a man.  The demons asked to be tossed into swine rather than be cast out.  Ministers have made the case that Hell is so bad, the demons rather be inside pigs than Hell.  What is your reply?

Can you cite me the specific verse? I might have a reply, but I need to know what verse you're talking about exactly and what it says.

Thanks, and love be with ya!

:cloud9: Tell them to consider that swine are they of the outer court realm of the tabernacle, ie. those that will eat both the corn and the husk, having NO DISCERNING of spirits. Then RUN, lol........ Blessings....

i find it interesting that the pigs ran and killed themselves rather than to live with something in them that man tolerated

Matthew 8:28-34
Mark 5:1-20

Okay, so the closest I go to anything about "Hell" was Luke 8:31. Matthew nor Mark say anything about any specific place. There's mention of being tormented, but not in any specific place. However, in Luke 8:31 we have this:

QuoteLuke 8:31 (Concordant Literal Version)

30 Now Jesus inquires of him, saying, "What is your name?" Now he said, "Legion," for many demons entered into him.
31 And they entreated Him that He should not enjoin them to be coming away into the submerged chaos.
32 Now a considerable herd of hogs was there, grazing on the mountain, and they entreat Him that He should permit them to be entering into those. And He permits them.

Quoteb]Luke 8:30-32 (Young's Literal Translation)[/b]

30And Jesus questioned him, saying, `What is thy name?' and he said, `Legion,' (because many demons were entered into him,)

31and he was calling on him, that he may not command them to go away to the abyss,

32and there was there a herd of many swine feeding in the mountain, and they were calling on him, that he might suffer them to enter into these, and he suffered them,

I don't know much about submerged chaos or the abyss. But honestly, who wouldn't want to stay in some pigs rather than be punished? It sounds understandable to me. I think the "abyss" though is different from any idea of "Hell" though. Unless some people like to equate the two.

I guess my question is, why did the demons say to Jesus-"Have you come to torment us now before the appointed time?"

What the heck is that all about? Is it possible they were lying, in other words, their way of saying -"See what a hard ass God is, He's going to torment us in the future"

:cloud9: Because He said, tell Herod that fox I do cures and CAST OUT DEVILS, today and tomorrow (2 thousand year days), and THEN (3rd day) I will be perfected. They had a legal right to touch whomever, because their time had not yet come to be cast into the fire of God and consumed. Blessings.....

And this passage plainly speaks of Hell in what way and with which mistranslation of either Hades, Gehenna, Tartarus, Sheol, or....????  How does it speak of Hell????  Seems to relate to the Hosea 2:18; Jeremiah 31:27-28 covenant of God/Church with animals being tied into the year 2000 or shortly thereafter, same way that Isaiah 30:23-26 does, plus maybe, uh....maybe 115 or 118 other passages.

:cloud9: Being cast into the fire of God does not mean "hell" to me; I should have made that plainer. What it means to me is being changed into His nature. Blessings....

It just occurred to me that the 6000 were drowned in the sea.
Where they still swim today!
And while in the outer court realm, added religious perversity to their talents.

:cloud9: Amen, Beloved Servant, that they do. And that is what's happening now to the darkness being cast out of the sons of the God in this hour that are seeking His face. For us the day of the Lord is magnificent and full of glory, for those of the outer court, a day of darkness and fearful, and why the wheat and the tares are raised up TOGETHER. There is the two-edged sword in action, unseen by the multitudes. Go back in the scriptures until you see what DAY this happened/s in. Blessings...

Yes, and it still appears that as they swim in the water and practice religious rituals that they are too busy to look up and see the life giver and soul guardian walking on the waters near at hand.

Peace,
