Psalm 136:1 Give ye thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age is His kindness.

Psalm 30:5 His anger lasts only a moment. His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may last for the night, but there is a song of joy in the morning.

There seems to be a limitation  to His favor/kindness

Yep, I know in the end ..... and love never fails.

"Contradiction" is a to strong word; but it doesn't seem like a perfect fit either.

Well, why would his mercy end once he has raised us incorruptible? Could it not, then, be even longer? His mercy made incorruptible as we are made incorruptible? His mercy lasts OUR lifetime, so therefore his mercy is as long as our lives are long. Thus, if our lives were to never end, would his mercy then never end as well? Seems reasonable. xD

Plus, would it not seem strange if: God, on one side of the grave, was only angry for a moment, but on the other side, was infinitely angry?

Also, could "evening" be parallel to "death," that is, when there is weeping? But in the "morning," that is, in the resurrection, their is joy?

So a moment could last quite  a while  :winkgrin:

I'm certainly not trying to imply that Tim. I have dozens of verses that refute that claim. (a claim you didn't make)

The reason for my question was Psalm 136:1-26
When reading the KJV version it are very happy verses. "Love endures forever" is repeated 26 times.
But in Young Literral Translation it looks less good.
"Love endures for an age/lifetime"

Perfect ET stuff to claim that after death His full wrath is shown.

The verse seems to imply temporary states and most likely is talking about our earthly lifetime.   The old testament to me has always been about enduring our life on earth, the new testament has been about the promises beyond when it comes to a literal sense of things.
