From Isaiah 66, if an E.T. believer says that this is proof beyond a doubt that "all mankind" simply constitutes all without distinction (all races) rather than all without excemption, then why is "all mankind" a phrase juxtaposed with the enemies outside? Enemies who appear to never have hope?

The dead bodies will be there for a season, but God in time will raise them from the dead, I don't think God is going to leave corpses on the earth forever, eventually the maggots will run out of food and the fire will go out.

ET place is in another dimension, not that it exists, but if it did, how do people look into hell and see the dead burning?

The mistake that ETers fail to realize is that not all of humanity will be glorified in heaven, most will still have flesh and blood bodies. The reason I think for this is because ETERs tend to look only at the new testment and ignore the many prophecies contained in the old testament about the restoration of mankind, one of the lost doctrines of christianity.

I thought all the dead and those living will have "Ressurection bodies" already and only the wicked are set up for the Aionion Kolasis or punishment??

But in 1 Cor. 15, it also says that NOT everyone will be Ressurected at the same time so I suppose Isaiah 66 displays people in human, flesh and corruptible bodies not yet raised, yet set up for the very same ressurection.. and then judgment and conversion...

Thanks for the input! Some suggest that Isaiah 66 suggests an earthly judgment or burning, but I'm not sure I buy into that so quickly as Isaiah writes already about the "New Heaven and New Earth."

It's correct that the verse doesn't speak about resurrection. So that would mean ED. But it's made clear in Revelation that the dead will be resurrected.
The verse speaks about dead bodies. All the bodies do is be dead. No even the slightest hint of suffering.
Unquenched fire does not burn eternally. It stops when the dead are burned up.

I actually MISSED the part where it says dead bodies.... But ET mode: what if it means spiritually dead?? Alive yet burning in a state of "death"??

Anyway, I'd lean more towards the unressurected corpses state, and Isaiah uses the same fiery metaphors that the other prophets do too, so while this won't be a pretty sight, I trust God has a purpose if we do witness something like this in His coming.  :boyheart:

This prophecy was fulfilled in 70AD. Gehenna, (ET's "hell") became the city dump right outside of Jerusalem. This is the place where all the garbage and dead bodies of criminals were thrown to be consumed by fire. It was a place of shame if your body was discarded there. It was also a place where the "worm  never dies" because of the maggots eating the garbage and bodies. This also is the place that was prophesied to be the "valley of slaughter". In 70AD Jerusalem fell. So many people were killed that it truly became the valley of slaughter. There were so much carnage that the dead bodies were thrown into Gehenna, (the city dump) to be burnt up.

The old heaven and earth passed away. This was the old religious system (Mosaic Law) and government (priestly). The new heaven and earth came in, the age of Grace.

Thanks!! That's a nice way of looking at it... that even though mankind is still subject to corruption in this age, this is nonetheless the age of Grace and not condemnation as in Moses law...
