Very good...called the son of God, not the son of the Holy Spirit.

I'm just trying to use simple high school logic here.

The Holy Spirit is the father of Jesus.

Jesus is the son of the Highest [God.]

Therefore, the Holy Spirit is the Highest [God].

Jesus is also called the Son of God.

Therefore the Holy Spirit is God.

I'm  sure there must be complicated explanations for this.

But I'm just a simple country girl.

if Jesus had intended the mysteries of the kingdom to be reduced to high school logic, He would not have spoken in parables things hidden from the foundation of the world. Paul would not have prayed that we receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. We would not need the Spirit of God to reveal unto us the deep things of God. If God had made a box for Himself, a nice neat package we could tie up in a word, their would be no need for us seek, or dig, or to listen to one another for a glimpse of greater revelation of His divine nature.

That made me think.  He starts with one and  makes them two --male and female--but still calls them by one name--Adam.  Then a third is introduced--Jesus-- and the two that were one become three that are one.  And, there is no emphasis on anything but equality, even though one might have preceded the other, --Jesus, Adam, Eve--or by any other standard--certainly not something so trivial as one being God, because the One that is God did not think being God was so important as relationship with the ones he loved before the foundation of the world, and love is only possible between equals, and love seeks unity, not separation.

QuoteHe starts with one and  makes them two --male and female--but still calls them by one name--Adam.

So wonderful are the ways of God.

I see God's overall plan as including the restoration of the perfect soul which is aided by the way Man is created by God, although humanity has marred, misunderstood and obscured the plan.

I believe the man is meant to look at the higher qualities of the woman - sacrifice, selflessness, tenderness, patience and devotional love - and desire to emulate the reflection of such qualities and draw nearer to the Divine-ideal.

Similarly, the woman, ignoring the characteristics associated with the lesser side of man, can catch the reflection of the higher qualities - stability and strength, courage and the executive power to act in times of need.

The ideal is that each should draw strength from the other. Although certain qualities may be associated with a feminine or a masculine body, yet, through companionship, each may catch the reflected light from the other, and in so seeing its beauty, they long to make it their own.

But, even with this, there is yet only one thing which can make the thing complete, give the finishing touch to that which has been brought together by much discipline of self: the purity, the faith, and the trust of a little child.
"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

I agree we are to ask the Lord God for Widom and understanding  and revelation and knowledge of Him , as we do Bro John ,
we are simply  comparing   what the Lord has given  us by the gifts of His    same Holy Spirit

and same One Body of Christ   ,   lifting up  :HeartThrob:

For  me its not harming but helpful    building up the Body of Christ  as we all share  with one another what the Lord God has so graciously given    to us all

Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

1Cr 12:2   Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
1Cr 12:3   Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

1Cr 12:4   Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

1Cr 12:5   And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

1Cr 12:6   And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

1Cr 12:7   But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

1Cr 12:8   For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

1Cr 12:9   To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

1Cr 12:10   To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

1Cr 12:11   But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1Cr 12:12 ¶ For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.

1Cr 12:13   For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1Cr 12:14   For the body is not one member, but many

1Cr 12:15   If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1Cr 12:16   And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1Cr 12:17   If the whole body [were] an eye, where [were] the hearing? If the whole [were] hearing, where [were] the smelling?

1Cr 12:18   But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

1Cr 12:19   And if they were all one member, where [were] the body?

1Cr 12:20  But now [are they] many members, yet but one body

1Cr 12:21   And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

1Cr 12:22   Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:    1Cr 12:23   And those [members] of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness.

1Cr 12:24   For our comely [parts] have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that [part] which lacked:

1Cr 12:25   That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another

1Cr 12:26  And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
1Cr 12:27   Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Jesus is the reward  !!

I appreciate  your simplicity  in Christ Molly , that is also who I learn

I love how you  said this , made me think as well  ,
when God had Eve come out of Adams rib  , though the  deep sleep  , her being the mother of  the living Gen 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Just as God took Adam  and brought out Eve from within him   to create a helpmeet and wife and pro create    living  beings  offspring , so did    GOD  do so with Jesus Christ   bringing out   the helpmeet for Jesus   a beautiful   bride    woman out of His spotless  and they begin  to   pro create   godly offspring
we know that the Church / bride of Christ come out of Christ   after  his death/ sleep  after the cross    ,
I am reminded of  Pauls    , verses saying  making you chaste virgin  for Christ , those   pure minds   are the Marys of our time, noted its the pure minds    that  the seed/Word of God   must   take hold for the sons of God to be manifested and working  life force of the Holy Spirit  to   pro create , Jesus being the firstborn/ firstfruits  from the dead , under Law all died in Adam and   Jesus fulfills this  in Himself   bringing  godly offsring , given new life calling them the sons of God  and bringing in the new covenant of under grace  , by the Work of God sending His Son and dying on that  cross .

and when Christ has risen in our hearts and minds  , than the new Life begins for the Seed of Truth and Holy Spirit of God the Father   though Jesus Christ all creation is made new  !  :HeartThrob:
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

1Cr 15:13   But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen

1Cr 15:14   And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain.

1Cr 15:15   Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

1Cr 15:16   For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

1Cr 15:17   And if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins.

1Cr 15:18   Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

1Cr 15:19   If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

1Cr 15:20 ¶ But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1Cr 15:21  For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.

1Cr 15:22   For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive

So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

1Cr 15:43   It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

1Cr 15:44   It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1Cr 15:45  And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit.
1Cr 15:46   Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

1Cr 15:47   The first man [is] of the earth, earthy: the second man [is] the Lord from heaven

1Cr 15:48   As [is] the earthy, such [are] they also that are earthy: and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] they also that are heavenly.

1Cr 15:49   And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Cr 15:50 ¶ Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

1Cr 15:51   Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Cr 15:52   In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Cr 15:53   For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.

1Cr 15:54   So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1Cr 15:55   O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?

1Cr 15:56   The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.

1Cr 15:57   But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Cr 15:58   Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Would to God ye could bear with me a little in [my] folly: and indeed bear with me.

2Cr 11:2   For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ.
2Cr 11:3   But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2Cr 11:4   For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].
I know you want more of the titles of  Authority       and  how the work of  the Three      the   the Holy Father ,  and Holy Son and Holy Spirit operate as ONE

so sorry   this may or may not be helpful to you Molly

Consider for a second that Yashua is the first of many brothers and sisters. Once we join Him and become one with Him than what happens to your trinity theory?
Currently the family of Yahweh consists of Yashua and the Holy Spirit. Now add 6 billion people to the family and the term trinity does not apply.
We will all be one in Yashua in the name of Yahweh (our's and Yashua's father). How can you call the family of Yahweh a limited trinity when there will be over 6 billion members of one family?
Shema O Israel, Yahweh our Elohim is Yahweh echad!!!

micah7:9

AMEN and AMEN! :dsunny: :dsunny: :HeartThrob: GLORY!

sheila

well....the new body..still has a head[   the spirit and word of God]   I don't use 'trinity" as a doctrine.......spirit/breath and word comes out of a mouth....

a mouth is in the head..that speaks the mind.[brain]...and adminsters  the will and thoughts of the head.

the body may be one,but it still has a head....that co-ordinates and directs the one body

We become part of the trinity through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  God will be all in all in us first.

That's the whole point, isn't it?

Hmmm.  Perhaps, just maybe, when God is all in all, we will be a trinity as Father, Son, and Bride. :Chinscratch: :HeartThrob: :URWelcome:

Watchman Nee believed in the verbal inspiration of the Bible and that the Bible is God's holy Word. He believed that God is triune—Father, Son, and Spirit—distinctly three, yet fully one, co-existing and coinhering each other from eternity to eternity. He believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, even God Himself, incarnated as a man with both the human and the divine life, that He died on the cross to accomplish redemption, that he rose bodily from the dead on the third day, that He ascended into heaven and was enthroned, crowned with glory, and made the Lord of all, and that He will return the second time to receive His followers, to save Israel, and to establish His millennial kingdom on the earth. He believed that every person who believes in Jesus Christ will be forgiven by God, washed by His redeeming blood, justified by faith, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and saved by grace. Such a believer is a child of God and a member of the Body of Christ. He also believed that the destiny of every believer is to be an integral part of the church, which is the Body of Christ and the house of God.[7].

This is what I believe, too, but I didn't have to spend 20 years in prison for my beliefs.  He did.

Yes, Amen!  For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

The two shall become one flesh.

But, this is happening now for us.

14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

--2 Cor 13:14

Paul prays here that we have the 'koinonia' --the fellowship--of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is a person with a mind, a will, emotions.

It is through the Holy Spirit that we receive power from God.

It is the Holy Spirit who ushers us into the kingdom of God.

This is one of the first things that was revealed to me when I became a born again Christian.

Jesus derived all his power on earth through the Holy Spirit.

That same power is available to us, as an earnest of our salvation.

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
--Mat 12:28

The Holy Spirit is the power of the Godhead.

The Holy Spirit conceived the baby Jesus.

Mary is told,

The power of the highest shall come upon thee.

The Holy Spirit is the power of the Highest [God].

for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. Mat 1

The Holy Spirit is the Father of the human baby Jesus.

The Holy Spirit anointed Jesus for his ministry.

John the Baptist was told how to recognize the Messiah.  He is the One on whom the Holy Spirit remains.

33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

--John 1

The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead.  He raises us likewise from the dead [in sins].

The Holy Spirit raises Jesus from the dead. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through His Spirit who lives in you.  Rom 8:11

micah7:9

Where can I find this information in the Bible? "The Holy Spirit is the Father of the human baby Jesus."

This is what I found.....
Luk 1:32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Luk 1:35  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
