It doesn't really matter how we think about this subject. I think it has added value; but not for your chances of salvation.
What we think, or know, doesn't affect reality....

I agree wholeheartedly.  But then again, what we think about any of the subjects we discuss over and over doesn't affect reality either.  Yet we do discuss our viewpoints.  It helps us to sort our thoughts, maybe get another perspective, get to know our fellow travellers.

QuoteNo one has a 'chance' at salvation.  It is a sure thing.  Salvation from sin is only part of all of this.  As Job said--we are God's workmanship and He has a desire for the work of His hands.
Just my poor English playing up...
"The fact of salvation"
I used chance also because IMO our works to have some effect. If we are nasty the correction will be harder/longer.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Well your English is very good, wish I could speak a foreign language as well as you speak English.

Yep, assuredly the vessels of wrath are going to endure a bit more pain during the process of being perfected. But God knows exactly how much 'heat' to apply, glad I'm not the one who is in control of that. I guess I have more mercy than some as I know what it feels like to need mercy.  I'm afraid at the first groan I'd remove the pressure, lol.

"Don't do to another what you don't want to have done to yourself."
