Matthew 13:47-50: how are you going to explain this?

Matt 13:47-50 "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind, which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away. So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth."


Sound like a perfect example of hellfire for people to be throw away from the angels.

How are you going to explain this tough question? How? I mean it said so right there from the mouth of Jesus.

If you can't answer it that mean you have lost.

What the end of this world looks like has no baring on what the end of the next world looks like (1Corinthians 15:24,28).  End of this present world is just the end of this present world.  Has nothing to do with God's eternal plan of salvation and the various appointed times for cleansing and release from all debts prescribed by the Law so that the ages are analogous of the 7 year release cycles in the Law and the ages of ages are analogous of the Jubilee every 50th year. 

We're also told that if a woman bares a male child that her purification time is 40 days, but if she bare her like, a female child, then her purification time is 80 days.  What is there in the Gospel as understood by mainstream Christianity that corresponds to these different appointed times set up by Moses by divine inspiration to which we're to look for redemption and the uttermost farthing having been paid back by God Himself?

The dragnet is talking about the saving of the Jew, in the siege of Rome in 70AD. There was a remnant promised by God to be saved. Many called but few chosen?

Isreal was rejected but "there are 7000 who haven't bowed before Baal"

The dragnet is God scouring Israel for the 7000, then the angles (translated from the Sons of God), which are the new testament apostles and witnesses who are led to Christ marked them for salvation.
And Jerusalem and all who didnt leave the city because they didnt heed Jesus' warning, "when you see Jerusalem surrounded on all sides flee to the mountains" were all burned and with the city when the temple was trown down and Casear Titus stood on the destroyed temple mount and recorded, "See, I am God!"

Have you ever noticed how scripture describes those of the First Ressurection ?
How they are blessed and Holy and how the second death has no power over them ?

Note the direct reference to how the second death (the lake of Fire) has no power over them ?

That is because they have already died to Sin...they, before the first ressurection, where the dead and buried in Christ.

Those who have not yet died to Sin...need to do so....they die to Sin in the Lake of Fire.

So they died to Sin at the Second Death....instead of at their first Physical death.

The Purpose of Punishment followed by Death for the wicked, is for the purpose of restoration to righteousness (The Restitution of all things)

Behold I make all things New!.....the best way to make somebody New....is to destroy the old one completly first.

So we see them again later, when God does away with the only thing holding them back....the Final Enemy...Death !

Doesn't it?  Sounds NICELY familiar!

Even thought there were still some question marks for me as to particulars, I've been one to think and say for awhile that there was significance in Jesus' earthly ministry (at least mostly) being to the Jews at the time ("I come not except to the lost sheep of the House of Israel") - and how mainstream and many others confuse the messages.  I believe that when Jesus often talked, he was talking about a specific, more immediate kingdom besides/along with the "heaven in the clouds" that mainstream is mainly only focused on...when they say "either heaven or hell, Jesus said you better be a wise virgin, don't deny me or I'll deny you, you'll be cast into outer darkness, weeping/gnashing of teeth, the rich man was in hell, etc"....

Yet I've always kind of wondered "but exactly what is the kingdom then that Jesus talked about to the Jews, leading up to 70 AD?  What did it mean to be faithful then, to not be as the rich man, the scribes and pharisees?" The thoughts by Dallas, about the 7000 faithful, the remnant that were faithful and believed on Jesus, escaping the destruction of Jerusalem, being obedient to Matthew 24, then carrying the Gospel on to the nations all the way to US - maybe those are the ones!  The ones that compromised that kingdom Jesus spoke about, at that time, prior to 70 AD.  That post really shed some light for me.  At the very least, some very good food for thought, another piece of the puzzle  :thumbsup:.

Dude, did Casear Titus really say that?? It nearly gives me goosebumps. Not because it was a man being blasphemous (if you will), but rather, that it almost sounds like God himself is speaking through Casear Titus to tell Jerusalem, "I AM God!" That is, "You missed me when I came, and now you know [through my judgement and your city's destruction] that I AM God."

Anyway, and either way, I really enjoyed you're post, but that particular quote stuck out to me.
