All my life I've been searching for the real Jesus and I found Him in Christian Universalism... or rather all my life the real Jesus has been looking for me, calling me out, drawing me to Him.

It's such a compulsive thing to take back some sort of "responsibility." I've only watched the first video of this thread but it seems to me that here again is that compulsiveness that just can't help but find something... anything... that we have to do.

The entire point of the Gospel is to put us to death. It's not about us. It's about Jesus. The Gospel is so counter-intuitive to our make up. We hear that there is nothing that we need to do and we react with, "surely there must be something." If we would just rest. If we would just take our eyes completely off of ourselves, cease from looking at how undisciplined we are or how thoughtless and prideful and distracted we are, and just let go completely... trust that the Gospel is actually true, that Jesus has taken care of everything and has everything sorted out... we would discover that Jesus will take care of all of that. He'll woo us and speak to us and work in us...
