eternal judgment, Hebrews 6:2
« on: December 19, 2013, 05:03:52 PM »
hi! This word study comes from the verse Hebrews 6:2, and the phrase "eternal judgment"

Hebrews 6:2

King James Version - "Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment."

"eternal judgement"

"judgment" - Strong's #2917 "krima" a decision (for or against.. ..judgment (root/from #2919 to distinguish/decide)

"eternal" = Strong's #166 "aionios" (from #165 "aion"/"age") Strong's concludes this as "perpetual"

Webster's under "perpetual" includes "perpetual throughout" such as a flower blooming throughout the blooming season

Aionios is "aion" + "ios." Aion, as we know, means age. The suffix -ios means pertaining to or relating to. So, aion-ios properly means "pertaining to aion" - which I found when I googled the word "aionios"
- this description came from here: (which is part of what looks like an excellent site, so I bookmarked it).

perpetual, or pertaining to the age.. of judgment (day?)
                            :hiya: God bless..
Jesus said "If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to me" ~ Ps 22:27-"All the ends of the earth will turn to the LORD-every knee shall bow-all tongues confess`Jesus is Lord`" ~ iF there's 1000yrs between Trumpets (beginning of the long 2nd advent of Jesus) and DOA/2nd resurrection, then is there 500yrs between DOA and Tabernacles?-"God will now tabernacle w/ man"Rev21. For 500yrs judgment day the HS will convince the world of sin? & at the concLusion of, all those(still) not believing will go to"age-lasting" LOF?
~ If 1st advent fulfilled the Spring Holy Days, 2nd fulfills Fall 1's?

I like that, "perpetual throughout."

Just to add a bit also concerning the wheat and tares and judgment:

Matthew 13
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world (aion - age); and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in (Greek "en") the end of this world (aion - age).

Without getting into the symbolism of the fire, what's really interesting to me is that Jesus says "so it shall be WITHIN (IN) the end of the age." In other words, he doesn't say, so it shall be "WITHIN and AFTER" no. So it shall be WITHIN the consummation of the age. The word "en" is the same word used for "in Christ."

You can think of an age as having a beginning, middle and end (consummation). At the consummation is a "harvest" and WITHIN the consummation is the judgment.

In other words, it's only perpetual in regards to the end period of an age…

 your'e thinking,sister.

I reckon it this way........the year of the Lord's favour[a day is as a year[1000]unto the Lord.

the year composes all the readying of the land..with the plantings of the Lord and the harvests/as

well as the plantings of the enemy.

the annointed one coming in the midst of the week/reckned also as 500 yrs of the 1000 yr

reign....or the Kingdom of Heaven is in your midst..  Thus..from the beginning[I am the first

and last]of the command 'let us make man in our image" to the raising up of the last man

in the image of the fulfilling of all the feasts...the year of the Lord's favour....including

the 7th day/Sabbath rest of man in Christ.

the eighth day[after the millenium/rest] is the circumcision of all flesh/hearts..the accomplishment of

writing His laws/ hearts/minds of His spirit/of just men made perfect..this

new ruling heavens..judges righteously men deceived of satan losed on the earth...and

fire[judgement] comes down from heaven and destroys all enemies of the camp of the Holy city

...the camp of the Holy man not yet in the finished image of God raised in Christ....

the binding up of tares for the angels[children of the resurrection are like the angels/

the children of God]  is the removal of all enemies  aginst the camp of the Holy city...........

thus those already perfected that come with Christ at His ministers of flaming fire

and tongues of fire..burn up/consume the tares[surrounding the camp] and baptize with Holy spirit

this 'camp/men in temporal/unfinished image of Christ.  for it is on the 8th day that the circumcision

of the heart is completed for the manchild[all men raised up in Christ's image......the writing

of His laws in minds hearts of all flesh[Exodus 22;29  do not hold back offerings fromyour

granaries or your vats. You MUST give me the firstborn of your sons. Do the same with your cattle

and sheep. let them stay with their mothers for 7 days..but give them to me on the eighth day.

seven days to make atonement for the alter/ altar in heaven/spirits of just men perfected

and brought into oneness with the mind/heart of the end of these days[at the end of

the 1000 yr reign] from the eighth daay on...the preists are to present your burnt offerings

and fellowship offerings.[ comes down from heaven[ministers of flaming fire..angels

ministering to those who are to inherit eternal life/tongues of fire of Holy spirit poured out and

the binding burning of the tares..and the bringing of God's wheat[man in our image into the

granaries of heaven......]  for it is the duty of the preists of the wash, prepare and

offer up on the altar  burnt offerings and fellowship offerings unto the Lord..[Ezekiel 43;10]

ps......satans deceived crowd surrounding   'the camp of the Hly city" is likened to the foreskin

veil over the hearts..that must be circumcized on the 8th day[manchild]  also likened to wheat plant

surrounded of tares.

....this is the 'pattern' I can comprehend...... :Peace2:

Now  it is the last day..signifying the midst of the week[1000 yr reign]Kingdom of

heaven in your midst][did you come before the appointed time[harvest?]

but also the sabbath to those firstfruits entering into His rest at that time[harvested at earlier

feasts]   the 4th creation day[heavenly bodies formed/new heavens forming] Genesis 1;14-19

Christ coming in the midst of the week/light to 'govern' the day/night.......apostle's 12 stars

in woman's head birth manchild/ Preists to make known the profane from the Holy=

seperate light from darkness/baptize with Holy spirit and fire  [so thus note the fire that comes

down from heaven on the 8th day that consumes the adversary with Gog's crowd encircling

the camp of the Holy city............

rest..and fulfilling of the feasts..and the beginning ofthe fulfillent of the harvests of the Lrd

So regarding the tares, the "burning" of which would metaphorically occur in the evening of the 7th day, and on the morning of the 8th day the circumcision occurs, leaving the remaining days free from flesh and sin "a circumcision of the heart by the Spirit" > Israel encompassing the whole world.

So you have: burning through the night > in the morning a circumcision > daylight thereafter and no more night.

I have felt for a while that in Hebrews 6 the term "eternal judgment", being rooted in "olam" (the root of aionios)-at times "world" or the "other world" or "age", is not focused simply at the decisions of God in the measuring times, but also the reasons of God, the "whys" of God, His eternal power and divine nature revealed through the "administration of the fulness(pleroma) of times". The word pleroma is the same word that is used Colossians 1 "For so it pleased the Father to make all the fulness(pleroma) dwell in Him and through HIm to reconcile all things to Himself through the blood of His cross".

Jesus is the fulness of the Godhead in bodily form.

We are, "the fulness of Him who fills all in all".

God's "reasons/decisions/whys" are expressed in the foundation doctrine(my opinion) of the salvation of all-

God's mystery, His "olam decision"

His eternal, perpetual judgment, "which He determined in Himself according to His kind intention"

That He will be ALL IN ALL and ALL will be IN HIM.

The foundation of the resurrection of the dead(order of resurrection1 cor 15), leads into the foundation of eternal judgment, the perpetual purpose of Him who causes all things to work according to the counsel of His will- and IMO goes way beyond just the negative aspect of the tribunals of God into the final smack of the gavel as the last knee bows and the last tongue confesses to the joyous declaration.......

in whom we have redemption through the blood of Him the forgiveness of trespasses according to the riches of the grace of him which he lavished on us in all wisdom and understanding having made known unto us the mystery of the will of him according to the kind intention of Him which he purposed in him for the administration of the fulness of times to head up the all things in Christ the things in the heavens and the things on the earth in him in whom also we have inherited an inheritance according to the purpose of the one causing all things to work according to the counsel of the will of Him

This, to me, is the "full"(pleroma) eternal/perpetual/aionian/ judgement of God without which, none of the other checkpoints along the way have any reasonable context, thus providing only confusion and striving to those who cannot see that fundamental underlying judgment- that mercy will triumph over judgment because mercy is the core all of God's reasons and whys within in the ages

"For God has shut up all in disobedience in order that He might show mercy to all".
The Logos is complete, but it is not completely understood.

Amen Eaglesway. My journey with Father has taken me many places and none greater than where I am now. There were so many times when I was too afraid to even consider Father as an angry, vengeful God that holds the keys to everyones fate. For some reason known only to Him, I held onto Love and never let go.

I see this opening more and more spiritually, love and let's not forget PERFECT love has no use for vengeance or anger. Eternal Punishment? What is that????

Well when looked through spiritual eyes of Love, it means a Loving Father molding us to His Will. What then of Judgment? Jesus said that He did not come to Judge the world but to Save it. Paul tells us in Corinthians that "LOVE keeps no records of wrongs." Which ties in perfectly with our fate has NOTHING to do with Works, like ummmm nothing.  :dontknow:

So what is work? Likewise, what is Trust? Well Trust is nothing like work. Trust is one of the most beautiful gifts that one can give and that one can receive. To have ones trust is simply precious.  :friendstu:

This is all Father has ever asked of me and all others. Of course Trusting in it's purest form is melded with LOVE.

Too many times people think they are taking the "High" road and thinking very well of themselves, when in fact it is the low road, the service road they should be on. So many see adversity as Fathers way of punishing them. Some don't even feel vindicated unless their lives are immersed in hardship. David said: Though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I fear no evil! Fathers Rod and Staff comforted him.

The only thing keeping us from the LIGHT is lack of Trust. The only thing that promotes a belief of eternal damnation is heart not yet privy to light. I know many believe that Jesus's greatest gift was dying; this saving all of mankind. I will be so bold to say that without the gift of Spirit that Jesus promised upon His return to Father, we all might as well be dead. Makes sense really, as Jesus said that Father must be worshiped in Spirit and without it, what is worship?

This is why the low "service" road is the one to be on. The blind damnationists do not realize that they are blind; they stumble and cause all around, especially children to stumble. We must be the bearers of light. The light will speak for itself, we just need to be carrying it bright always.

The greater our Trust / Love for Father, the greater our LIGHT.  :dsunny:

This is never work, its living in peace, bathed in Love, knowing that Father is all through us.

Love Julie  :HeartThrob:
Don't Forget LOVE.
