If you're not laughing by now, pray for a sense of humor.

My name is Issa. I found this site by accident or as a blessing, depending on how you look at it.
I've been searching for awhile for a way to come to terms with questions and doubts I've always had about the religion of Christianity. And the authority afforded by the Bible, in it's account of relating our beginning and our predestined future.
I think the Tentmaker website affords an excellent opportunity to figure some of those questions out. And now this forum may provide an excellent opportunity for discussions with like minded seekers and sages.

It's a privilege to make your acquaintance. I look forward to our talks on the forum.

Blessings Be With You,
LD
"I find it to be a great opportunity God has given to enter a forum wherein "universal repentance" is espoused as a philosophy seemingly gleaned from scripture derived from the KJV that is condemned on that same site. Because in the process of encountering those believers in that and their treatment of those they judge for not seeing things their way, we witness what selective interpretation manifests in people who example elective decency in the name of an agape love they do not understand because elitism is what they love most."

Hi.  I've read your first posts, and am curious.  Are you a believer (have you come to a place of being given faith to trust in Jesus as your Savior) but still clay as are we all with our doubts and struggles?  Or more so an unbeliever who is seeking?  (Since I'm asking you, in fairness, I personally claim the first group :).

Thanks, and be blessed by your time here.  James.

For the [logos-saying-word] word of God [is]alive and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

LD...we are glad to have you.  And if you can't ask the tough questions here...you can't ask them anywhere.  :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome.  Jabcat, yes I'm a believer. I'm simply trying to reconcile my questions with what it means to believe.
I hope that helps your understanding of me.

Thank you for the insight Shawn. I've come to the right place then I take it.
I would agree Redhotmagma. There are no accidents. Only guideposts to the next leg of our personal journey?

Blessings upon us all. :grouppray:

I think the two ticks rode in on the backside of a tree sloth.

And here I've been a big fan of sloths. Them and the adorable Slow Loris. Go figure.  :sigh:

Now if only there was an answer for the ticks, chiggers and mosquitoes!   :JCThink: :wink3:
