Hi all

I am from South Africa, no we do not have lions in the streets, just kidding.

Have a rugby team called the lions but have not featured much the last few seasons, must have a satan complex, you know as a roaring lion.

Did have a Texan here once and while travelling on the highway, once we hit the country, savanna farmlands, he enquired where the wild animals were, I kid you not.  We eventually took him to the Kruger park and he got to see the big five.

Blessings

Hello,
I used to be a Michigander (three times), and a Missourian (twice), and now I'm a soon to be ex-Wisconsinite.  Illinois, here I come.

Gerry here;

Lizzard's Roost Arkansas is where I kick my feet up. I am the mayor here and I have made it my job to put Lizzard's Roost on the map. If you can find us on the map, you are no only good, you are gifted. Just look in the upper left corner.(Of the map, that is)

It looks like the Free State is fairly well represented here.  I am also from Maryland, specifically the more provincial part thereof.

I used to live in Sitka which is in the panhandle on the southeastern side of the state. Isn't Glenallen up by Anchorage or Fairbanks. Some of those Alaskan towns only have a few people living there.

Glenallen is 180 miles northeast of Anchorage, and 250 miles south of Fairbanks.  Town of about 1000.  Valdez is 100 miles south.

I've never been to Sitka.  Bet you got a lot of rain there.

I haven't been to AK since 1984.

One year Sitka got 180 inches of rain. I don't know if that is a record, but it was more than usual. I am going back to Sitka next week to visit relatives. Haven't been there in over 10 years. Sitka used to be the capital of Alaska in the 1800's. It's also beautiful with all the mountains, trees and such.

I liked the one Nicholas Cage used in his movie Raising Arizona: "Where the women are strong, and the men are good looking." But that was Utah, wasn't it?
