Hi, Michelle!   :girlheart:  So glad you're back!
Did you once say you were writing a children's book?

Hey Hopeful......good to talk to you again.

Yeah...I wrote a short children's story called "The Journey of the Little Raindrop".  I've been painting the pictures and took a break from it for the past month.  You know...you're post just reminded me that I need to finish those illustrations, and send it off to try and get it published. I may share the story with you all in the months to come.

Anyway, hope you are doing well hopeful.  Thanks for thinking about me.  You're a sweet heart. :girlheart:

Hi again Michelle!  I'd send you a PM but I don't think you can send one back to me yet...

I'd love to hear more about your book project.  May I ask if you have had anything published before?

Have you seen the movie, Miss Potter?   :love4:

Hey hopeful.....you know...I actually have seen the movie.  My mom recommended it, and I really enjoyed it.......there are not many clean movies like that out these days.

Unfortunately I haven't had anything published mainly because I haven't mailed anything off yet, but my dream is to create inspirational children's books with beautiful illustrations.  I also want to write a novel.....the story is in my mind but I haven't started typing it yet.  Trying to find the time, and lately the only time I can find is at night when I should be getting my greatly needed rest.  :laughing7:

Anyway, do you have experience with getting published??

Well, yes, but only in small publications- with out pay.   :Sparkletooth:
I hope to write some children's books some day though.
Years ago, I took one of those "writing for children" correspondence courses.
It was a lot of fun!
I tried submitting a couple articles to children's magazines
but they were not accepted.   :sigh:
The rejection was a bummer...
But... then I started home schooling so any serious writing is on hold for now.

I'm sort of a little girl at heart and I am always reading children's classics!
I loved the Miss Potter movie!
It made me laugh and cry and dream.
Ah... to sit on an English hillside and write...   :cloud9:
AND get paid for it!   :HeartThrob:

Yeah......sounds like heaven to me.

Hope you have a wonderful day hopeful, and good luck with the homeschooling........wish I could do that, but unfortunately don't have the time with my job and the other 2 kids.  Anyway, today was my oldest child's first day of Kindergarten.....mixed feelings.

Goodluck with your future writing, and let me know if you get published.....I'd love to read your work.

You know...sometimes I think we're all just a child at heart. :HeartThrob:   :girlheart:

Yes, and keep me posted about your book!
It must be nice to be able to draw...
My mind DOES NOT work that way for some reason!   :dontknow:

Ya know, I do have a blog if you want to read any of my devotional writings...
Thanks for the blessing today, Stained Glass.  Hope you had a good day, too!

Holly....just checked out your blog.  You have a beautiful style of writing.  Your words bring peace and truth closer to my heart. :HeartThrob:

Thanks for sharing!

PS - I especially love the section you have called Christ Reflected in You and the picture is just perfect of the mountains and sky being reflected in the calm waters.  It shows me that we can only perfectly reflect him when we are at peace.

Oh!  Thank you so much for the kind words, Michelle!
They brought tears to my eyes...
I have to admit that I become discouraged very easily over my writing
and words of encouragement help me to go on!
