ok I think this is the place to say it
« on: November 30, 2009, 04:59:58 PM »

Have noted in the last couple of months there seem to be a spirit of anti christ working  on this forum ...
the reason  I am going to say it is because so many and even me  a time or to  took OFFENSE   over    the Word , not so much the Word but
how  we see it as the Word
this spirit of anti Christ  IS   instead of Christ  or against Him    mostly what Jesus Christ stands for , which is One Body one Bread   unity and fellowship love purpose edification  etc ..  on and one the great things of God right here on earth as it is in heaven / mind of Christ

this weird  thing happening is causing a major  quenching of the Holy Spirit  and  works that  is a shame
I can see a few  still edifying   His Body     awesom is our God
  but

sorry to say I have NOT been one of them  :mblush:

because   of getting offened over a Word spoken by some who are at division  over  many things  not just a few things
pawns  maybe in a grand scheme of things
  humbling  maybe ?
I know I am humbled by it all ...

  what has happened here ?

 Strong's G4624 - skandalizō  offened  skandalizō

  1) to put a stumbling block or impediment in the way, upon which another may trip and fall, metaph. to offend

a) to entice to sin

b) to cause a person to begin to distrust and desert one whom he ought to trust and obey

1) to cause to fall away

2) to be offended in one, i.e. to see in another what I disapprove of and what hinders me from acknowledging his authority

3) to cause one to judge unfavourably or unjustly of another

c) since one who stumbles or whose foot gets entangled feels annoyed

1) to cause one displeasure at a thing

2) to make indignant

3) to be displeased, indignant

are we striking the Lord with our   mouths

or walking away in disgust  , silenced

Mat 26:31 Then said  Jesus unto them,

All you  shall be offended because of me this night:

 for it is written,

I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

this verse seems very real and now to me ,  and  we are sure it has happened and will  happen still
but are in a  present   state of being ,,
could  use tons of scriptures here
  but we blow over them
Its not until  someone says whats on their mind before we   look
 maybe  for    differnt reasons
to find  fault  or  agreement  or just  ignore  it , because that person means nothing to you

how sad  are  those whom desire unity and peace in  Jesus and cannot find Him  in our fellow man , when knowing all that grace that is given has been  poured out  so abundantly .
we should be so hid in Christ  you cannot see us anylonger

but it  can  be  offensive  to see Jesus  at times
Jesus gave that warning  and still gives us  that warning

Mar 4:17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction / struck down or persecution/ wrath  arises for the word's sake, immediately they are offended

you know how hard that is to do and  so easy to say to anyone  :msealed:

went silent  than  spoke up , now  dont know what will happen  now ..
God help ..

and Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Luk 7:23   And blessed is [he], whosoever shall not be offended in me.

hope no one takes offense  over this , it can be easily removed  and
maybe what others have noticed as well ...  :dontknow:

love can be so mysterious at times and hard to understand

God is amazing right after this post   a strange occurrence happened
can we learn from this  experience ...... will tell  those who care to know
was doing dishes at the sink  and have    bird feeders there  and suet  and many of my little buddies  that have come for years dine here  , they are plump   little guys of every kind  and  can recognize  some of them  well  , and do love them  well  they are apart of  this life  and joy  God gives  a simple pleasure  if  you can imagine that ..

well they all screamed bloody murder all at once  ,  I ripped open   the window and     yelled to the top of my lungs !! a     hawk come swooping down  in the middle of all them , to eat one of these little buddies   that    mean so much  to me
and he   flew off empty handed  , whew what a   relief !!!   not one do  we want to loose and thought of Jesus protection  of how not one is plucked from His  Fathers hand !!!!
please just pray for God  to hear our  screams we are under a hawk attack here at TM  one  who  wants to   kill and destroy ...

and   Jesus will  protect and love His little buddies whom He has fatted up and  purposed  for  His desires
we know hawks got to eat to  , but not  one of  these  little  guys ! not one   ! thought it was just a faith booster and yes personal  , but just the same  seeing the glory of God  though Jesus Christ working still   very
 encouraging   though it all

we need to eat the meat / His Flesh  of Jesus Christ    so the veil  will be lifted/removed   and we SEE HIM  ONLY ........ not devouring one  anothers  flesh /meat
Hope no one gets offended  , but  it needed to be out in the open

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Hbr 10:20   By a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh

 Hbr 10:21   And [having] an high priest over the house of God;

 our protection and keeper

Hbr 10:22   Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water

Hbr 10:23   Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)

Hbr 10:24   And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Hbr 10:25   Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Hbr 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Hbr 10:27   But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

:cloud9: That was something Rose..........I can see Him doing that for an "object lesson". Last week I walked by a window that faces a large overgrown area where my birdfeeders are, and thought I saw a grey cat sitting on the ground.

As I stopped to see, it was actually a large grey hawk about 10 feet from my feeders. He just sat there looking around and I watched him. Finally he flew off when he heard a noise. I have never seen a hawk here before and never saw one on the ground anywhere before. Blessings....

.

Well, you guys, I haven't even been in here enough to know what you are talking about, but I wanted to say something about this ONE verse
that you quoted Rose!!!

Here it is: Luk 7:23   And blessed is [he], whosoever shall not be offended in me.

The time had come when Jesus spoke this, that He was to "increase" and JOHN the Baptist was to "decrease."  YOU know, he got his "head"
taken off.  Well, Elijah did too, remember him saying to Elisha, "do you
know that the Lord will take my "head" today? And Elisha said, Yea,
I know."

So that is what that verse is about........when that time comes, Jesus
said, "blessed are they who are not offended in me, because I am
causing you to MOVE on ..........there was no man greater than JOHN
the Baptist, Jesus said, yet it was time to "SEEK the KINGDOM.....
one age was closing and another was beginning, the "pearl of great
price" lay "hidden" in the "field" and we are to SEEK the Kingdom of
God "first."  Then..............all these other things that we have need
of will just come.

What I noticed and what sticks out to me is that when one has found
that "treasure" in the "field" the "first" thing he does is go "hide" it.

Now why?

Think on this and everybody be healed from the stuff you are talking
about.

The whole job lot.

We got some seeking to do.

   LIFT UP YOU HEAD

Gen 40  the cupbearer and the baker

v 12 This is what it means,Joseph said to him. The three

branches are three days. Within three days Pharoah will lift up

your head and restore you to your position. And you will put

Pharoah's cup in his hand

When the cheif baker saw that Joseph had given a favourable

interpretation, he said to Joseph, I too had a dream. On my

head were three baskets of bread. In the top basket were all

kinds of baked goods for Pharoah, but THE BIRDS WERE EATING

THEM OUT OF THE BASKET ON MY HEAD.  This is what it

means,Joseph said, The three baskets are three days, within

three days Pharoah will lift off your head and hang you on a

tree, and the birds will eat away your flesh
