"mercy Killing"

A difficult and endless discussion I fear. Just a few points that cross my mind.
Here childeren get vaccinated against certain illnesses on young age. Some parants refuse that because with those medicine you would be fighting the will of God. If that has biblical basis then most of medical science is against the will of God.
From that POV passive euthansia is almost a Biblical law instead of forbidden.
But God also gave us a brain. Gave us compassion to care. Is medical science not trying to do the same healing that Jesus did? Ok the results are far less perfect but the intention counts too IMO.
I've seen people go through terminal cancer. When they goto sleep their only thought is: will I die tonight or wake up tommorrow to endure another day of torture inflicted by cancer. That sounds like the ET-god that keeps people alive in hell to inflict more pain. Is keeping such people alive the will of God because we may not take lifes. Or is keeping them alive against the rules of mercy God thaught us?
I have my idea's about the above....
I'm pro mercy killing. I'm also aware that puts me on a slippery slope because the keyword above is unbareble.
What is unbareble? A very active sporty person that got his life shattred by a car accident and now can only lay in bed. Nothing terminal. With proper care he can live another 50 years till he dies of old age. Is it mercy or murder to help that person to the other side? Even further down the slope: unborn life....
A parent want to give a kid a good life. A roof. Toys. Food. Education. Etc. But what if you are totally unable to give that.
A black/white view on things can be hard but it's simple reasoning. All other variations put you on a slope.

  And Who gives life?

  Exactly. It's not ours to take. I faced the possibility of that with my son before he recovered and for me, it was not an option, nor a "choice". That word really grates on my spirit in the abortion debate as well, it's like chalk on a blackboard, every time I hear the word, "pro-choice". It's the height of the arrogance and pride of man to think to HE has that "choice" in the first place. My  Blessings....

Just curious... and anyone can answer this..

what is your stance on the killing that soldiers do during war?
And what about hunting...
and killing animals for sport?

What about (yes, I'm serious) instead of picking up a harmless spider and placing him outside, you smash the spider?



or are those things exceptions to the rule?

(just posting this for discussion's sake... I'm not trying to put anyone on the spot. I would just like to know other's beliefs on murder and killing, etc. as it pertains to all aspects of life, not just the most obvious ones, such as suicide, abortion, etc.)
