If the 70 weeks are 70 Sabbath cycles as usually assumed then indeed it is past. It ends during the life of Jesus. That time period was only 490 years
Some say there is a gap between the 69 an 70th week. That last week is durig the rapture.
If you read all articles, which I advise, then you see that that 1 week is possibly the first week instead of the last one....
The author thinks the 70 weeks a Jubilee cycles. That's 3500 years. and those have not yet ended.
Note: I'm quite often mentioning rapture and tribulation. I only use those words because everyone whats meant by it. Not to approve or disprove that view. So let's not sidetrack this discussion to that subject
