"Pechitta primacy"
« on: February 17, 2009, 09:00:00 PM »
have you ever heard of this 'controversy', some say the Aramaic Pechitta is the inspired text of the New Testament, while some arguments really make sense, I don't really believe it, is anybody interested in this topic?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aramaic_primacy

btw it's interested how Lamsa translates Romans 5:18

In like manner as by one man's offence, condemnation came upon all men,
even so by the righteousness of one man, will the victory unto life be to all men.

seems to be clearer than in other translations

this is a page of supporters of the Pechitta (this people seem positive, no word about hell or anything like that there)

btw is there a kind of language filter when writing pes-hitta?
