OH, TO BE SO FREE

Only Thee and me
Oh, to be so free!
To be so satisfied
That Thou be glorified.
My one desire,
My heart on fire.
Oh, to be so free!
To worship only Thee,
On humble, bended knee.
Oh, for more grace
To joyfully endure the race.
Oh, to be so free!
'Twill only in eternity be.

I wrote this in 2000, when I had such a loving/learning relationship with God, but no human fellowship of like-mind.
