Alice In Wonderland

On Tuesday I got hit with a NASTY FLU VIRUS 

I spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in a kind of delerious purgatory between waking and sleeping, 102 degree fever,........

So, this morning(Saturday), I am on 40mg prednizone, Hydromet syrup, & 500mg clarithromycin,when at 9 AM my alarm went off , and I wanted to just crush it, but  instead, I dragged my virus ridden carcass out of bed (like out of an episode of "The Walking Dead") and I forced it at gunpoint to rise, shower,dress and TRUDGE to the train station (moaning sorta low, dragging along like the zombie I felt I was- no one seemed to notice or care- just another New York City zombie pushin throu :bdh:gh).

I endured the train ride to Port Jefferson(subway, train station, transfer at Huntington- 2 hours). In Port Jefferson (to strange stares and crossways looks- some folks recognize a zombie in the suburbs ), I walked a half- mile down Main Street and secured a seat at the Port Jefferson community theater. This was the object of my obsession. The reason, the rock solid driving force that had pushed me through this haze, into the rear of the theater where I watched......

..................the most beautiful little girl in the world (my 11 year old gran-daughter, Joslyn) light up the stage in ALICE IN WONDERLAND- her last performance. I just couldn't have missed it.

 Afterwards, when she told me, "I missed you" , and, "You r the most wonderful Grandpa in the world"(zombie skin and all), I WAS HEALED! \o/ ( Inside anway, - where it counts the most). It was ALL WORTH IT :o) Then the three of us-my daughter Stephanie, Joslyn and I, went to Tropical Smoothie and had smoothies together. Then we went to the bookstore together for a little while.

Then after I passed out(jus kiddin)they dropped me off at the station and I made it home(jus barely )about 9 PM.

I CAN BE SO DARN MELODRAMATIC!

But REALLY, its ALL TRUE (mostly ).

I have to work 4 hours tomoro, and then I have Monday off, AND I BETTER BE BETTER BY TUESDAY AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT!!

jus kiddin........ REALLY, the TRUTH IS............ God is so good to me even in my worst times that when I consider it, it brings tears of joy and appreciation to my face and I just can't contain my relief in the steadfast assurance of His love for me- Thank You Father, and Thank You my precious Lord Jesus

What I can see in your example is:

even in a state of near death, we still, by the power of God can bring life to another

even in a state of near death (illness, sin) we still, by the power of God (the power of love) can bring life to another (joy to your grand daughter)

The Spirit of God knows the depths of the Father's mind, teaching us His own love for us through this simple example.

Your are in my prayers for deliverance from your illness.
