If you change tower in pillar...

Magdal is pillar in Hebrew.
So Mary Magdal means Mary the pilar.
If you look at the Hebrew and look up high priest you find Ha-Kohen.
Ha = high, supreme
Kohen = priest. (of Levi)
Her exact Hebrew name was Ma-Gadol-aH-eN
Meaning supreme, highest, most important, etc pillar.
Mary Magdalene was the most important of her tribe. (Benjamin)

Dunno if it's correct but perhaps we can indeed call her a "tower"....?

Harlot I don't know. But she did something wrong that likely was called adultary then.
Adultary can be sex but there are many other forms.
Shaking hands with a strange man for example.

Three Mary's in Jesus as Jesus' family and friend make things even more muddy.

Imo translators made a big mistake calling her Magdalene.
Many words would have been better even silly ones like president.

Even worse... she made Him King and high Priest...

The passage about Jesus forgiving her is not just to show how a nice guy Jesus was/is.
There are only 3 persons that can forgive a woman adultary.
Her husband. Her father. Her oldest son.
We all know Jesus didn't marry and didn't have children.
He was her adopted son. (bloodlien of David and Nathan etc)
When a woman was caught in adulatry she coul dbe stoned to death or forgiven. But even wheb forgiven all her offspring born after the adultary would be bastards. Meaning nobody born after her adultary could be the new pillar.
Meaning nobody could annoint new priests and kings. Not sure but if she hadn't chidren before the event it simply means it's impossible the messiah the Jews are waiting for can ever exist.
Only kings can sit on David's throne. But if there is nobody that can annoit the king.....
OTOH I'm sure the hundreds of Rabbis that teach a future Messiah didn't overlook what I wrote in this post. So I could be very wrong...

I think He simply meant to say that their sins were greater than adultary.
Although He forgave I don't think He viewed it as something possive...

She was one imo. My proof is this.
If she wasn't why would Jesus forgive her?
If it was a false accusation 'm sure Jesus would have rebuked all who would accuse her falsely.
Jesus took every opportunity to teach something but not based on lies.
